“Amazing food, friendly staff and a pretty interior. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Everything felt homemade, from the zaalouk, to the crema b ma ward. Thank you Awad for the great service. Hope you guys keep the good quality! We tried: zaalouk, taktouka, caramalized pumpkin, maaqouda, harcha, baghrir, mlawi (with amlou, jben, and honey), crema b ma ward, jawhara, and orange blossom tea.”
“Service is top although it was very crowded. Quality is the best! I had the yummiest hargma; we also tried couscous which was very delicious. A soecial mention to the iconic morrocan dessert " جوهرة". We just need to try their breakfast cause it looks yummy.”
“Café BA SIDI in Rabat isn’t just a cafe, it’s a heartfelt celebration of Moroccan culinary tradition, where every dish feels like an homage to the country’s rich gastronomic heritage. Stepping inside, the aromas of freshly ground spices and slow-cooked tagines wrap around you like a warm embrace, instantly connecting you to Morocco’s soul. Here, the food is more than sustenance; it’s a cultural narrative served on a plate. The menu, though unpretentious, shines with authenticity. Classic Moroccan staples like harira soup, brimming with lentils, chickpeas, and fragrant herbs, are crafted with the care of generations-old recipes. The tagines tender meats or vegetables simmered beneath conical clay lids arrive bursting with layers of flavor, from sweet apricots and almonds to earthy saffron and cumin. Even the couscous, light and fluffy, speaks to tradition, steamed to perfection and paired with seasonal vegetables. Each bite feels like a tribute to Morocco’s agricultural bounty and the artistry of its home cooks. What truly elevates the experience is the café’s commitment to preserving tradition. Meals are served in hand-painted ceramic dishes, and mint tea a ritual in itself is poured with theatrical precision, the golden stream glinting in the soft light. The staff, warm and proud, often share stories of the dishes’ origins, turning a meal into a lesson in Moroccan history. Café BA SIDI doesn’t chase trends; it honors the timeless rhythms of Moroccan hospitality. From the communal seating that invites conversation to the rhythmic clink of tea glasses, every detail feels rooted in tradition. For travelers craving an unvarnished taste of Morocco’s culinary soul, this humble gem in Rabat is a must-visit a place where every meal is a love letter to the past, served with genuine warmth.”
“Excellent dining experience for a group of 10 (Moroccans and foreigners). Menu in English, good food (Combo of Moroccan starters, Tagines, desserts), nice atmosphere, very quiet (dining in between 7pm and 9pm on a weekday), music not too loud (we were able to chat and still enjoy the music). The waiters were polite and friendly.”
“Food is great how ever the service is very bad during lunch . The head of the waiters seemed frustrated and it was clear in his way of talking and managing the space. Difficult to find someone to help you when you want to add or correct your order or also bring you the bill . We had to move to the counter to do so in a line .”
“An amazing place for traditional food, I recommend it for everyone..😍”
