“Food: 6/10 Price: 4/10 Service: 2/10 The restaurant was not very welcoming from the start. Zero greeting, no acknowledgement. I get to my table and the server takes way too long to come to our table and get our orders. Once we place our orders, we wait 45 minutes just for the soup to arrive. We bought the Fish Soup which was decent but nothing to rave about. It came with cheese bread which was a nice added touch. I liked how there was plenty of seafood in the bowl which left me feeling somewhat satisfied despite the lacking flavor. After 20 more minutes of waiting, we are greeted by presumably the restaurant owner. She welcomes us and it’s all nice and happy. She explains that the service is slow because of the military people eating here but that does not excuse the sheer amount of time this is taking to get our food. Ten minutes after this interaction, we get the rest of our dishes—except no of course they had to cook one last dish because why not wait longer. So now we are at about an hour and a half deep into our stay and we just got most of our orders. After about 10 minutes the last dish comes and all of us are eating. We got three orders of fried fish and one order of grilled fish stick, calamari, fish of the day, and creamy seafood spaghetti; by far the best dish was the spaghetti. The rest of the dishes were quite mediocre and lacking in any real flavor. We finally ordered tea to top off all the food and the server gave us a small teacup compared to the amount people in our party. It almost felt like a joke. There were not even enough cups for everyone in our party. Just to sweeten the story, the server was basically non-existent, never checked in on us, and was rude. If you want to be treated like dirt, come to this restaurant. They are more than happy to waste your time.
“A very tired place to stay.|If you are looking for a quiet relaxing place to sleep you will be disappointed as it over looks a busy port and the traffic is never ending not the hotels fault. |Reception was unenthusiastic |Parking was on a pavement by the Riad |The waiter was fantastic and couldn’t be more obliging at breakfast.|Our room was clean although I had to ask for an extra towel and the bathroom really did need an upgrade but actually the shower was surprisingly good.”
“We ordered the octopus tagine and it wasn't octopus but looked like the cheapest, nastiest cuttlefish. It wasn't even cooked well and was like eating chewy rubber. For an upmarket restaurant, that's disgraceful.”
“Really nice and beautiful place to sit for sunset and have dinner. Food was really good, service was sweet. The owner was extremely friendly, sat with us, offered us tea and biscuits and his help with some issues we had with our camper van.”
“Big thanks to Medhi who gave us great while staying here and enjoying the restaurants great food. In combination with great service and great techniques de place Ambiance is unique. try the moroccan soup 11/10 spot!”
“This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve had in the entire city maybe even in my life. I entered with hope, left with regret. This was not just a meal it was a warning wrapped in cold glares and empty plates. From the very first moment, the staff’s eyes spoke louder than words not of welcome, but of disdain. I was treated like a burden, not a guest. They pushed unwanted dishes upon me, insisting the simple ones were “unavailable.” It felt less like a service and more like a trap. The food arrived lifeless, tasteless, overpriced. Each bite a disappointment, each sip a reminder that I should have walked away. This place has none of the soul, warmth, or decency a weary traveler seeks. There are places in this city that will feed both your body and spirit. This is not one of them. I left hungrier than I arrived not for food, but for dignity.”
