“I don’t live near this supermarket but two acquaintances who work there used to be employed by a small gourmet shop I sometimes go to and they said Centro was a very good larger food store. Two times I went to Centro and bought several items. I noticed immediately that its outdoor vegetable area was excellent and well-stocked with many fresh items, and the meat counter inside looked good as well. There I saw one acquaintance who said "hello". If I lived in the area, I’d definitely shop here regu but probably would also continue to shop at the larger Carrefour and Marjane markets, one of which is only a two minutes walk from my house. I cannot vouch for prices at Centro but it seemed reasonable. Neighbors have said Marjane is more expensive. I note too that this Centro has a large pet food area for cat and dog foods and a very large newspaper and magazine area, both outside on the Avenue Mohammed V side next to Centro Games. Next door to Centro Supermarché is a café and pool hall called Centro Games which is pleasant to have a snack or sit and have a coffee or tea while using its WiFi or watching television. Upstairs is the huge area for billiards, with half a dozen huge pool tables. There are a few sofas here and the toilets are upstairs.”
“This mini supermarket is located conveniently for urgent shopping. I do not recommend it for your normal groceries. I would also strongly discourage buying anything at the cheese counter. This counter is located right next to the meat counter and I have witnessed a major disregard for basic hygiene and food security practices. The meat section (raw meat, poultry, etc.) should be completely isolated from the cheese (prepared food and cold cuts) section but this does not happen here! I have witnessed, on several occasions, that the guy who just served raw meat and chicken, going over to the cheese and starts serving people WITHOUT cleaning his hands. I have made the remark but that only resulted in insults and a stubborn disregard for the message I was trying to convey. They simply do not understand that raw meat and chicken are a source of (deadly) bacteria and that when you transfer these to a slice of cheese that is eaten as such can be deadly or at least cause serious illness. I have tried to explain but the guy acted as if I had insulted him... "I know how to do my work"..."I don't have the time to put on gloves or wash my hands"..."we are not enough people"... Anyway, I have given up on them, but I am filing an official complaint with the Food Security Agency (ONSSA). I am not buying anything at those counters (meat and cheese) but I don't want other people to get ill because of an ignorant employee who is not trained to do that job properly.”
“Very friendly staff, clean, comfortable and spacious modern sport bar with a number of pool tables upstairs a couple of snooker tables. Free WiFi and good food and drink. Located in the central Tangier area. Made for a great base to organise your daily activities or just relax and watch satellite sports.”
“Not the biggest place but has a decent amount of offerings. Good for small items but best to walk to the supermarket in the mall for the majority of your needs. Good for quick shopping visits.”
