“The riad itself is quite okay. The room lacks a wardrobe. The service is average. Breakfast is okay. I don't recommend using the restaurant. The food is terrible. My couscous was sour. When I pointed it out to the waiter and asked him to try it, he immediately took it away. The harrira was the worst I've ever eaten.”

“BEWARE! Do not stay in this place! BEWARE!!! The pictures on the Riad Tanja by chef Moha websites are DECEIVING!!! The bathroom had black mold on the walls and a terrible odor. That is TOXIC! The walls also had water stains. The chairs in the room had large burn marks on them. The room was advertised as a sea view, maybe with binoculars! The view out of the filthy windows were of dilapidated buildings. The tiles were seperated and cracked from the shower wall. The shower did not look clean. This room was also supposed to be a suite. It was NOT a suite! We ask for another room and were told none were available (the place looked empty!) We could not stay in such appalling conditions. We were lucky to locate another hotel and left the Riad Tanja by chef Moha immediately!”

“We stopped here for sunset hoping to catch it from the rooftop, and were spoiled by the wonderful staff at Riad Tanja! They kindly brought chairs and a table up to the roof for us and had the musician playing the sitar join us, which made for quite a magical experience on our first day in Tangier. Unforgettable!”

“Riad Tanja has been a great choice for our vacation! The staff is super friendly and always available to help, from the moment of the arrival to the very end of your trip! When we checked in we were offered a Moroccan Tea, which we choose to get on the rooftop, a true gem where you can also get your breakfast 🤩 The breakfast is super super super good and filling, with both savory and sweet options! Our room was very spacious and always clean! The position was nice, the hotel is right above the American Legation Museum and close to the port, but actually really close to most of the attractions, right next to it there’s also a taxi stop. We loved it 😍”
