“This is a one of a kind hotel in the middle of the old medina in Tetouan. There are only 5 large guest rooms that include private baths. The hotel is actually a gorgeous old Moroccan palace transformed into an awesome bed and breakfast. The owner and his family run the hotel and make you feel as if you are part of their family. When we arrived, Fara, the owner's sister, sat down with us to enjoy the traditional Moroccan tea. It was a good opportunity for us to ask any questions about Tetouan and Moroccan culture. She was leaving about an hour later and her nephew, Mehedi came on duty. He was equally as welcoming and both felt like they were our family members welcoming us to their beautiful house. We also met the owner who was extremely kind as well. Mohammed took our luggage from the Taxi and walked us to the hotel from the main entrance of the Medina about a 5 min walk. He was so kind to point out all of the highlights along the way. Once we got checked in, Mohammed was our fabulous tour guide for the rest of the afternoon. The next morning we truly enjoyed a lovely Moroccan breakfast at the hotel. We took so many beautiful photos inside this beautiful palace and in Tetouan as well. Thanks so much to the wonderful staff for making our short stay so memorable!”
“Farah was very welcoming and available with anything we needed. Mohammed was an excellent guide who showed us around and was on hand for any trips out. The breakfast was really good and the hotel itself is beautiful and full of history. Highly recommend!”
“Beautifully authentic Riad in the medina of Tetouan. We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great stay. We stayed at many Riads in Morocco but this place felt the most authentic in appearance. The room itself was spacious and very clean. The staff, Fara and Mohammed were so warm and generous with their time and help. Made us feel very welcome in this city.”
“Very beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast was perfect, just like the service.”
“It’s a gem! A gem stay and a gem owner and staff. A step back in time, amazingly preserved, but with new bathroom facilities. Very clean, even the alley when entry the Riad was smelling clean and nice; they have two fountains, with relaxing water purling. ||When entering the riad, Aragon guitar concert was playing in sourdine. ||The breakfast its huge, very diverse. The owner asked what we prefer to eat in the morning, I said fruits, and I got a big plate with melon and strawberries, along with some many other varieties of Moroccan breads, the others had omelettes.||Thank you so this wonderful experience!”
“My wife and I recently completed an 11 day tour of Morocco. We stayed 3 nights at the nicely decorated Riad El Manantial, where the staff were very attentive and helpful. You follow a bit of a rat maze to get to the riad, but the peaceful, almost totally silent area is very conducive to sleeping well in the comfortable beds. Some very good restaurants are within 5 minutes of walking, and the staff are very helpful in making reservations and getting you there.”
