“One of the best camping, caravans, mobile homes place. It has a large ground so there is space to hide but no grass . One of a few places were one can drink tap water which is pumped from 100m deep underground source - I drunk it with the owner and both of us still smiling. Stuff helpful. There is electricity on site but no water. Bathrooms and toilets are clean.”

“Updated review: Great place, almost back to nature. The non electric parking is fabulous, surrounded by trees and bushes, nice, quiet and fairly private. A well thought out pricing system which would suit everybody. Washing machine immaculate with a great spin. The dog bath is great, not too high like some, not too low that you get backache. The owner is a very pleasant, amenable man who does his very best to help. There is absolutely no downside in my view. Will definitely return and would stay for longer.”

“This site is great. You pay for what you need and have a very friendly host with a great sense of humour. We have stayed for three nights total in a Freedom spot for 30dh per night. How can you fault it. Mr Bakanou is very friendly and helpful and speaks more English than I do French. Which we totally appreciate and thank him for. I find some of the other reviews quite amusing really. Would definitely recommend Camping Bakanou and will use again. Also, many thanks for the excellent recycling facilities: glass, plastics, cardboard and even organic waste. Best (only) we have found so far.”

“It seems expensive especially as I dont need electric and it is remote. Also it's confusing over the price, 80Dhs is great but then another 30Dhs for 'car park, customer parking'. 110 Dhs total would save confusion and save upset customers.”

“Nice hot shower, WC block clean. Decent parking plots. 80 for stay, 15 for electricity. Regrettably the electric is ONLY 4 amps .. meant we couldn't use ANY of our kettle, hob OR air fryer.. even our internal fridge kept cutting out .. Interesting guy. Unfortunately it is run as though it is for HIS pleasure and the needs of customers isn't primary. No map except an elaborate one on the wall of reception. WiFi just there too. Perhaps a photocopy of the site and key places? Would help. A VERY quiet stay notwithstanding 2 barking dogs 'welcoming' us .. HTH..🙏👌”

“Nice basic campsite. All facilities available. Wifi only at the office. No pool. No restaurant. No near by shop. Owner very rude unless your French!. Made very little effort to communicate with me! It was french or nothing! Considering this is a camp site for tourists, it's really bad. I moved to the campsite next door who couldn't do enough for you! Wont revisit and dont recommend it”
