“Exceptional experience I liked it so much, that I went here two days in a row, which I rarely ever do. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a distinct upscale atmosphere thats naturally elegant without being overly cliché or giving the impression of trying to hard. The food was excellent I would give it 15/20 points. On my first visit I had chicken-almond pastillas and the lamb shank couscous. The pastillas had a perfect combination of sweet and savoury with a crispy outside and a firm meaty interior. The coucous and the vegetables were light, fluffy and fragrant. The three sauces all complemented the taste delightfully in very different ways. The lamb shank was definitely the cherry on top without taking too much attention from the rest. The meat was perfectly braised to be tender and juicy. The knife was almost unnecessary. On my second visit I had the monkfish and prawn tajine. As a contrast to the couscous, this dish was a perfect balance of bold and delicate. Both the fish and prawns were cooked perfectly, preserving their distinct tender yet firm textures. The accompanying sauce was full of fruity sourness and umami from the tomatoes and preserved lemons. The herbs, aromatics and spices gave it the signature morrocan taste. Lastly the service was attentive but discreet, blending into the elegant atmosphere. A somewhat hidden gem that I can fully recommend.”
“Gorgeous building, delicious food and attentive staff. The fish, lamp shank and the dessert pastry is my favorite”
“This the more tradition restaurant of the hotel Le Doge. Great food, not many tables so I recommend making a reservation. We enjoyed eating there the day we arrived after a long trip and didn’t want to leave the hotel. Excellent food, had the lamb and kebab dishes, paired with Moroccan wines. Very friendly wait staff in a quiet and traditional atmosphere. Simply wonderful.”
“Nice interior design, comfortable chair, great treat to end the travel day. Food was fine, the salad starter was big to share. If you have little stomach, better to share the main dish. I love the Tagine cooked with the serving plate/ pot, that were obviously not, however still delicious, but missing those fresh cooking hot experience.”
“We were staying at the affiliated hotel and ended up dining here out of convinience, turned out to be the best culinary decision of the trip. The decor and ambience are just perfect, opulent and cozy at the same time, food was absolutely delicious and very generously portioned, service was seamless and welcoming, overall a true undiscovered gem. A must try for Casablanca!”
“Awesome Moroccan food with a few Lebanese and Mediterranean elements. Delicious place for a cozy night and romantic atmosphere in an elegant restaurant with amazing staff. Great vegetarian options and don’t skip dessert!”
