“Favourite Riad out of the ones we stayed in Morocco. Stayed in the Green room. Beautifully decorated. Comfy bed. Lovely view from balcony and front window. Good breakfast, friendly staff and a very nice and relaxing overall vibe. Also really handy for Supratours bus station. Best part of the Medina too that we saw.”
“Very nice Riad in Essaouira. Close enough to the entrance to the Medina (especially from the Supratours bus station) where you can find it and take your luggage in without too much difficulty. The room was very clean the breakfasts were great and filling with fresh breads, eggs, tea/coffee and other accompaniments. The staff was friendly too and will make recommendations for local places to buy things or eat.”
“We had a wonderful stay at Chems Bleu in Essaouira. From start to finish, the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, always attentive and kind. Everything was impeccable throughout our stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless, very clean, and beautifully kept, which made us feel comfortable right away. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and very well prepared, and it was a real highlight of our mornings. The location is excellent, especially if you want to stay in the medina, as everything is within easy walking distance while still feeling calm and pleasant. Soufiane was particularly helpful and gave us great tips on what to do and which places to visit, which really enhanced our experience. All the staff were lovely and it is a pity I do not remember everyone’s names, as they all deserve a mention. I would definitely stay at Chems Bleu again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Essaouira. It is excellent value for money and a perfect choice if you want to be right in the heart of the medina.”
“Great and lovely riad. Perfect location near the parking lot and near the city center. Very helpfully and kindly staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. We stayed with two kids 2 and 4 years old and was perfect.”
“Exceptional location, service and rooms! I stayed in the green room (verde) that had a large window and balcony that overlooked the Medina walls and ocean in the distance, allowing for lots of natural light and a beautiful sunset view. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and was served on the third floor with an even better view of the ocean. The highlight were the staff. From start to finish they went above and beyond to make my experience memorable and comfortable and I could not praise them any higher.”
“Chems Bleu is a delightful place with welcoming and accommodating staff. It's a riad, meaning a house with rooms organized around a central light well that has been expertly designed and decorated as a small hotel. Despite being in the ground floor our room opened onto a private courtyard patio. Some higher rooms have balconies with views. The breakfast was fresh and abundant each morning and served high on the terrace either outside or in a windowed room overlooking the city wall. On arrival we received a thorough orientation to the city with paper map, and a pot of Moroccan tea on the terrace. Its location is inside the medina wall and close to everything while remaining deeply quiet and fresh. Here are a few things to be aware of, none of which needs to be a barrier. It's an old riad building that has been designed as a hotel. Our bathroom including shower was excellent but, ahem, loo noises travel far. The terrace is 62 steps above the entrance, so if stairs are an issue, please consider this.”
