Riad Marosko

“Came to this Riad with 3 friends only for 1 night and no issues with not being a married couple. The room was very spacious. On arrival we were given complementary green tea which was the best one yet I have had in Morocco. The breakfasts was lovely and they give you a good amount of food. Its served on the baloney which has an amazing view of the sea. The staff were lovely. overall I would recommend and stay again.”

“We had a disappointing experience. My wife is pregnant, and we clearly requested a room on the lower floors to avoid climbing many stairs. The request was seen but completely ignored. The shower was dirty and the room was not properly cleaned. Our room was located directly above the dining area. From 07:00 every morning, staff were making a lot of noise setting up breakfast, and guests started arriving early, even though we were told breakfast only begins at 08:30. It was very hard to rest. The room is not as shown in the pictures. To reach the toilet you have to pass through a low, narrow passage, and there is no door for the toilet. The shower door opens straight to the hallway and the dining area, which is very uncomfortable and lacks privacy. In addition, to enter the riad you have to walk through a dark, unpleasant alley, which feels unsafe at night. Overall, the price is too high for what you get. Definitely not worth it.”

“We were at the second Riad Marosko, futher down the lane. Breakfast on the lovely roof terrace was the best we had in Marocko, a beautiful meal and experience. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Good beds. Staff were attentive and very friendly. The place is quiet but easy to access near the beach in the city centre. Great stay!”

“We've enjoyed a great stay at the Marosko riad very recently in Essaouira. The rooms were very tidy and clean. The breakfast service was outstanding however some progress can be made at the reception. I highly recommend the place and its central location in the medina.”

“Location is good. It is right in the centre within the Medina, with many many shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. The sea is easily accessible. Rooms are sparsely decorated, no heater/air conditioner, little rugs on the floor while the floor is freezing. No kettle in the room, and worse of all...they told us they will pack our breakfast to go because we are checking out early (8am) as breakfast will only be served from 8.30am. Stairs in this riad is particularly steep. Not suitable at all if you have weak knees”
