“Let’s make it short. Rachid serves the best couscous in Essaouira. Point. The joint is built on 4 floors with an amazing terrace overviewing the Medina. Rachid greets you as you enter through the kitchen and tells you what there’s on the menu. The couscous, as stated before is incredible and enormous!!! When you’re done eating it, he brings you sweets baked by his wife and a classic thé à la menthe. This place is a must!”

That chicken tagine with onion and raisins was the most yummy, flavourful food of our entire holiday. Fantastic value (and yes, there is a little squat toilet behind those swing doors on the top floor).”
