“Really great food! I wasn’t really hungry but I did want to eat something so I went to this place which was close to our accommodation. It was so good, I ate everything! Highly recommend, also friendly people and great prices! 🌞”
“A small shop tucked in the Medina, it has a wonderfully relaxed and homely atmosphere, with free WiFi, and the woman doing the cooking is very welcoming. We first went here after being drawn in by the amazing fragrance and have now been twice. We tried the Yassa Chicken and Yassa Fish the first time and the Mafe the second. Everything we ate was so incredibly delicious with big generous portions. The dishes were packed full of flavour and had such a comforting (and filling) effect. The food was so good that we actually booked flights to Senegal because of it. This is must try when visiting Essaouira for a non-moroccan option.
“Amazing food and vibe! They cooked me a vegetarian meal just upon request. Better to arrive early in order to be a let to try their desserts.”
“I love Senegalese food and this one really tastes like in Senegal 🇸🇳. The woman cooking it is super nice too.”
“Great food, authentic Senegalese flavours, friendly staff. We had the chicken yassa which was really tasty. Only issue was there was no toilet.”
“Don’t think, just come!! Absolutely the best meal I’ve had in Morocco; it’s so much more flavorful than Moroccan food. I had the yassa chicken which is pretty spicy, I have a high tolerance, you may not so ask for less spice. Also got the hibiscus juice which was way too sweet for my liking. The glass it was served in smelled too. But I still give it 5 stars”
