“Seriously disappointed, my initial visit to A&E department went very well , i was sent for MRI ,CT scan and blood tests because i had a lot of concern for my health . As im feeling so unwell ,i cant do the trip to Essaouira all over again the next day , we come the day after . Seems to be a almost complete change of staff . We go to reception to ask for the results giving ger the paperwork provided to collect it , she doesnt seem to even undetstand she needs to print it out 🤦🏼♀️. Then she takes the results to a doctor we think but are left waiting in a room she put us in but no doctor arrives , people are just passing the room ,after 20 minutes I go to ask what is going on , but she is no longer at the desk and replaced by another person . They have no idea what is going on and cannot locate the medical papers . Finally I see doctor I recognised and i stop him to ask what is going on , between him and a nurse they go from room to room to track down my medical records , this is all exhausting and frustrating . The doctor finally reads the results and explains the issues . After tests results im told I need to be seen by a gastroenterolagist but here is where more problem start. We are sent to another reception area and they can't make an appointment the staff dont know when he / she will be available so they say they can call us when they know the doctor will be available . No call came so we go back another day , then told the gastroenterolagist is available tomorrow at 1pm . We arrive before 1pm give the reception my ID details ,we wait an hr and they dont know when hes ready , I asked how many are before me and am told just 1 so we wait , turned out he wasn't even in the clinic and not coming ,we only found this out after repeat visits to reception, as the only time i am called is to pay in advance . Then because we are already asked to pay we have to wait another 20 minutes for the paperwork to get the cash back . By this time im utterly exhausted and stressed ,I already have other health issues so sitting in a hot waiting room and all the travel has made things worse. I have a condition with my liver picked up on the tests as well as other concerning blood results , so have to look somewhere else for doctors . This clinic has the equipment but lacks competent staff . I paid just over 5000dh for all my tests but that means nothing without a follow up , I needed to be treated like a humane ,where has the care in this profession gone !”
“Everything from coming late in the night with my pregnant wife, birth until we leave the hospital was very good. Service was top quality compare to some european hospitals. Food? Restaurant quality. Nice and clean room. Bonus you have ocean view from your window. Wanna thanks doctors, nurses, security guys, stuff in kitchen and cleaning ladys. Good job and I hope this hospital keep this high standard.”
“We had excellent treatment in the Mogador Centre when I became concerned about my husband’s condition. He contracted some sort of intestinal bug and was vomiting which would have affected the absorption of his medication for Parkinson’s Disease. The staff friendly, reassuring and very professional. They carried out a full battery of tests and advised admitting him to the private section for observation overnight. They were concerned about his raised temperature and he was put on a drip. He was very well looked after, checked on frequently and provided with meals. They also took over his medication. After a day recovering he was discharged looking very much better and more himself. They explained everything very clearly to me and we left with a prescription which the local pharmacist dispensed and explained. Almost worth coming to Morocco just to get First Class medical treatment, a far cry from the waits we experience in our local hospital back home.”
“I was there today and was looked after very well, better than in the Irish system. I regret deeply that I didn't proceed with the cortisone injection due to a mix up in Ireland. The doctor was so nice and patient despite being the only doctor there. What a gentleman. I wonder if I go back tomorrow could I be treated. Ca atmosphere. Very clean”
“I had a very good experience. A very competent doctor Mr. Zakaria who did the ultrasound of my abdomen after a complicated surgery I had last year in Switzerland. Very competent and knowledgeable, thank you very much! The waiting times are a little bit long but it was worth waiting since I didn't have an emergency.”
