“"Great supermarket! Liya Market is clean, well-organized, and very easy to shop in. The produce is fresh and high quality, and the prices are reasonable for the area. Shelves are neatly stocked and the store layout makes finding items quick and simple. The staff were friendly and helpful during my visit. Definitely a go-to spot for groceries — I’ll be coming back!"”
“Really awful...The fruit and vegatables can sometimes be found rotting and still sold at full price, despite local markets outside selling them at a better quality and better value for money. The price tags are not always updated, so on one occassion I running back and forth between the shelves and the till, due to the higher price shown on the till to what was on the shelves. When the staff were questioned about this, they said they hadn't bothered updating the tags on the shelves and seemed very non-chalent about it, which makes it had to trust what's being displayed. On a number of occassions there was no cash or change in the register, which meant that there were moments where I couldn't buy anything and had to leave the stuff I carried to the till behind. To make matters worse, the staff were very cold and dismissive about it, which not only indicates a lack of empathy and poor customer service, but it was also incredibly unprofessional. Advice to mangement: 1. Make sure the produce you are selling is safe for consumption when flies start to show, and if food is beginning to age then consider reducing the price to shift it off the shelves. In addition, consider how and where you are storing/displaying said produce: does it need to be next to the window where the heat is likely to touch it? Is there any way of keeping it cool/refrigerated where possible? 2. Please update the price tags: this doesn't take long and should be done immediately when there is a price change. 3. There should always be cash in the register and to be honest this should be company policy, particularly with older customers who may only have cash on hand. 4. Staff are very unproffessional and unpleasant to deal with, and it's very clear they're not happy with their job. Maybe management needs to check in with them to see if they're okay, perhaps even provide training for them if needed or extra support. For me, the attitude and unprofessionalism of the staff was really off-putting and it was not a one-off incident, this factor alone has put me off coming back to Liya, so unfortunately I won't be returning, but I do hope it improves in the future.”
“This small market has made big efforts to make prices and products on the level. I like the place”
“On the beginning it was very clean and the staff were very friendly but now after it has been opened for a while it isn't so clean anymore sometimes you can literally smell rotten fruit in the entrance , the staff are also not too friendly you have to wait too long for someone to come to do their job (by example for the meat stand) and then they don't even do their job properly”
