“⭐ Very Disappointing Experience — Nice Decoration, But That’s About It Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences we had in Kenitra. The decoration is beautiful and gives you the feeling of sitting in a traditional bazaar in Marrakech, but in our experience, the atmosphere and food did not live up to the presentation or the high prices. First, the heat inside was unbearable. There was no effective air conditioning, and it honestly felt like sitting in a sauna. We repeatedly asked about the AC, and we were given the impression that they were trying to turn it on, but nothing changed because they don’t have AC installation at all. A restaurant like this can spend a lot on beautiful decoration, but customers also need to be comfortable while eating not eating in a sauna. The food was even more disappointing. The couscous arrived cold, the portion was small for the price, and it was missing several of the vegetables we normally expect with Moroccan couscous. The vegetable tagine was also served cold. The meat portion was extremely small. The menu described the portion as approximately half a kilogram, but what we received appeared nowhere close to that amount. The tangia was the biggest disappointment. It seemed to be mostly meat and liquid very watery, without the rich seasoning and preserved lemon flavor we expected from a traditional tangia. We were told preserved lemon was unavailable, which was surprising considering how essential it is to this dish and how readily available it normally is in Morocco. The meat portion again appeared much smaller than what was described on the menu, and a significant amount was fatty rather than good-quality meat. Overall, the prices were very high compared with the quantity, temperature, and quality of the food we received. We felt that we were paying primarily for the decoration rather than for the food or dining experience. If you have a car, I would personally recommend exploring restaurants and farm-style places outside Kenitra instead. We have found places offering delicious traditional food, generous portions, beautiful surroundings, and excellent service for considerably less. Beautiful decoration alone is not enough. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.”

“Nous sommes venus hier en famille dîner chez Dar Mimti à Kénitra, et franchement c’était une très belle expérience. Le restaurant est chaleureux, propre, avec une décoration marocaine beldi très agréable qui donne tout de suite une bonne ambiance familiale. Un grand merci à Mme Karima pour son accueil, sa gentillesse et sa bonne gestion. On s’est vraiment sentis bien accueillis. Les plats étaient délicieux, généreux et bien présentés, surtout les spécialités beldi comme les tajines et les plats traditionnels marocains. Une adresse que je recommande fortement pour passer un bon moment en famille, bien manger et profiter d’une belle atmosphère marocaine. Merci encore à toute l’équipe, on reviendra avec plaisir.”
