Club Med Marrakech La Palmeraie

“We had a great time at this great Club Med resort. There were lots of highlights for us, and lots of great staff.|In particular the circus team of Tom, Tama, Ben and Laura were super friendly and helpful. Their explanations were clear and their enthusiasm for the flying trapeze was infectious - a great team.|The shows, as always were wonderful, involving a wide range of employees with big smiles on their faces. The Pirates in the Sky show was the best of the bunch, combining impressive trapeze skills with super music and dancing. We also enjoyed the Grease show very much. All the choreography by Vicky was spot on too.|The chef de village, Yousef, was very impressive. The tennis coach Jacqueline was really friendly and helpful, as was Victor during our padel lesson.”

“Great week altogether. Lots of super activities, particularly the circus with the great team of Tom, Tama, Ben and Laura. The chief of the village, Yousef, was full of enthusiasm and energy, leading his team by example. WE enjoyed all the shows, but particularly Pirates in the Sky on our last night. This was a great spectacle under the lights, with music, dancing and daring acrobatics on the trapeze! We enjoyed our tennis and padel experiences with Victor, Dalex and Jacqueline.”

“Overall, we had a great week as a family. The resort is spacious, some great pools and nice guests. Room a decent size with a comfy bed and nice hot shower. ||||We really enjoyed the Family Oasis pool for most of the day. Usually plenty of beds and no hogging them. ||||The operations team vary massively. I can't remember the name of the lovely guy in charge of cleanliness - he is always around. Checking everything is OK for you. Exemplar member of the team. Thomas in Petit club is amazing with unsettled children. ||||But there were a few things that really let this place down :-(|| - room not as described - it said we had a terrace, but it was a small patio with sun loungers on gravel and not contained (so couldn't let 2 year old out there.|| - people smoking at the side of the family pool (despite no smoking listed on the gate). Raised with the lifeguard who told me they were allowed to!|| - restaurant. Where to start! Food was never ready when it opened (often 30 mins later which with a small kid isn't great). Service appalling. Ask 3+ times for water/wine. Birds sitting on the bread and pastries pecking at them. Waiters arguing loudly in front of guests. We dreaded mealtimes in the end. And started to go for dinner at 7.30pm even though it opened at 7pm to make sure there was food out. I wouldn't even rate it as 1 star. The food was good, when it was there. ||||This is more of a for info. This is a French speaking resort. My little one went to Petit club, but there weren't any other English speaking kids in there, so he didn't want to stay. Most of the resort workers only speak French. Just thought that might be useful to be aware of before you go. It does mean lots of pleasant French guests :-)”

“This was our honeymoon and our first stay at any Club Med. We will definitely be visiting more locations in the future. The grounds were beautiful and lush and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I speak very little French but found it easy to communicate with almost everyone in English. We did a dune buggy excursion which ended with tea and cookies under a canopy of grape vines and trees at a local, family farm. It was truly magical and was the highlight of our entire Moroccan vacation. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Special thanks to teenclub GO Corneille! My boys (age 14 and 16 years old) had a great time thanks to his enthusiasm and great sense of humour. The food was awesome and the service too. The bees are very active in the morning but don’t sting. |The airco could have been better in some areas but with 43 degrees it is difficult to keep it cool everywhere.. the rooftopbar was a lot of fun, especially when you know french songs like my boys. We enjoyed aquagym, yoga and even the work-out sessions in the gym. A quick morningvisit to the market in Marrakech by completed the trip. Thanks!”

“Thanks a lot for the mini club team(bibi, Gigi, Vincent, Marion…sorry I don’t know all the names of the friendly staff), thanks for your great job that my girl has a wonderful holiday, and we as parents can fully enjoy the stay. Thanks a lot also for my yoga pro Flo! Love the yoga outdoor experience with you. Thanks a lot for the golf team too(Francois, Youness) , I made good progress. Thanks Chef Amir for the cooking classe, I enjoyed it. Finally all the restaurant(Pascal super service for our last dinner in CM) and room services staff, hard work and always smiling! Can improve more child friendly facilities in the room or other public spaces, so children can use toilet, wash hands etc, easier.”
