“Impeccable. This is seriously a special property. Close to the chaos but located down a quiet side street you'd never guess was in the heart of it if you didn't know. Pilar spent an entire year updating everything down to the plumbing and electricity so everything works well. Her eye for design is top notch... as soon as you walk through the door you feel like you're in a space that should cost twice as much as it does (and the cooled hand towel you are greeted with is an unexpected touch of quality!) The bed was the most comfortable bed we experienced in all of Morocco, and we stayed at much more expensive places in other parts. The shower is hot and has good pressure, and the robes and slippers are such an appreciated detail! Rather than being served everything you could never want for breakfast, you are provided with an electronic checklist in order to choose what you will actually eat so as not to be wasteful. The staff are trained to the highest level of customer service we experienced. The snack and beverage station is a thoughtful detail. I could go on and on about how wonderful literally every aspect of this riad is. We 100% plan to stay here from now on when we visit Marrakech. Thank you Pilar and crew!”

“Our stay was truly wonderful, and everything was precisely as described. The host was exceptionally kind, attentive, and generous. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed with a delightful hand-cleansing experience, traditional Moroccan tea, and delicious cookies. We were encouraged to make ourselves comfortable and feel at home, with unlimited access to tea, coffee, juice, fruit, Moroccan cookies, and more snacks. The room itself was beautifully decorated, and the aromatics were delightful. The provided soaps, lotion, and body washes all had a divine scent. Robes and slippers were thoughtfully offered, along with a sewing kit. The bed was turned down for us, and water was offered for the night if needed. Breakfast was delicious, and we appreciated the innovative use of technology to pre-order our meal via JotForm. The suggestion to create a WhatsApp group for easier communication was also excellent. We only have a couple of minor suggestions: perhaps offering a dark hand towel for makeup removal to prevent staining the white towels, as we felt quite bad about that. Additionally, the water was cold when showering at night, and we were unsure if the water heater is turned off after midnight. These were truly minor points, and we would absolutely love to return.”

“The amazing hospitality and friendly staff at Free People Riad made our experience comfortable and memorable. We had never been to Marrakesh before and when we arrived we were a little apprehensive due to the culture shock and hustle and bustle in the Medina. But as soon as we stepped inside the Riad our host Pilar put us at ease, brought us tea & cookies and gave us tons of great advice and tips for getting around the city. Pilar’s whole team are super friendly and they really enhanced our experience. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they helped arrange dinner reservations / tuktuks / taxis etc. The decor and general feel of the riad and bedrooms is luxurious and you would not know you were in the chaos of the Medina so you can truly relax. Highly recommend!”

“We had a wonderful stay at Free People Riad & Spa in Marrakesh. The riad is absolutely beautiful, elegant, ornate, and full of thoughtful detail. It feels intimate and cosy, with so much charm and character. All of the staff were amazing, incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. They helped arrange taxis and anything else we needed during our stay, which made everything feel easy and relaxed. The location is perfect too. It’s tucked away at the top of the medina in a quiet little alley, so it feels peaceful, while still being only a short walk to the markets and the main square. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Marrakesh. A truly lovely riad with wonderful people.”

The breakfast each morning was delicious with a great variety of fresh food, and it was the perfect way to start the day.
