“I stayed in this riad the second week of June, it was 2 of us , my son and I and we have such good memories! I really want to leave a positive review especially after having read some of the negative reviews because I think it’s fair to judge this place taking into account how much money you spend! I don’t understand people who complain after having paid such a low price. I must say that we are backpackers and quite adaptable but maybe the other travellers were expecting 4 stars. The riad is gorgeous with the typical courtyard with colourful tiles, tables, plants, all these amazing colours and furniture in the communal areas and also going up to the rooms. I loved it! The owner, the guardian and the cleaning lady were always very polite , always smiling and kind! And as soon as you got out there were many shops and restaurants and the riad was so flexible with the curfew at night! Other people we met had to be back to their hostel by 12! Anyway I really believe this Riad has so much potential and of course it would just need a little more looking after especially in the communal areas. We had the bedroom up to the top, we had a good bathroom, water was fine, sleeping too and the AC was working wonderfully! Of course it was basic but we had everything we needed:-)”
“My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. The host was very attentive and quick to respond to any needs or concerns. The amenities were very good, and the room offered great value for the price. Also, the location is quite convenient since it is just a walking distance to the medina. I’d definitely recommend staying at this place!”
“Please read fully!! We visited with two persons in late April and are in our early twenties. We booked the private room for two persons for 4 nights. This hostel has its ups and downs. To start with the downs: - the toilet did not flush properly - mold everywhere - leaky sink - small space -uneven beds - nasty shower (curtains) - barely washed towels - bad (sewage) smell - the owner cancelled our booking the last day, probably so we could not leave a review on Hostelworld - water was not always hot Ups: - good location - the AC worked fine, but only after we insisted on it being repaired/working - the low price was good - the riad itself is traditional and serene - the owner/manager did want to help us when we had a problem which was kind In conclusion —> it was fine for us, we needed a place to stay, it had to be cheap and we’re young so comfort was not at the top of our list. BUT be aware of the lack or general comfort and hygiene.”
“Overbooked themselves and then took me to a different hotel. My room was in a basement and looked like a prison cell. People were loud all night. Host was rude and impatient and lied to me about the rooms costing the same. If I could rate it negative stars, I absolutely would. I’d have better luck getting good sleep on the street. Didn’t have any service or WiFi in the room either. Could hear people pissing in the bathroom, coughing, and talking all night. Update: I did go sleep on the floor at the airport and it was better than the hotel….”
“We enjoyed our stay, it’s a nice location close to the medina, the style of the place is cool, and for the price it was decent. Lots of lovely cats, and a comfy roof terrace too. The terrace was the only place we could get the WiFi to work though.”
“Not recommended at all 🚫 I would give 0 stars if that were possible. One of my friends left a negative review on Booking. Surprisingly, she was later contacted on her personal WhatsApp number by a member of the hotel staff.
