“Stayed at this hotel for four nights and it was an amazing stay. Check in was very quick and we were allocated a room in ryad six on the ground floor. The reception team were very helpful and professional whenever we spoke with them.||Rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds and also had a great air conditioning unit which was very welcome. ||Pool area was excellent with a large swimming pool and plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. There is a good selection of day time activities arranged by the animation team if you would like to take part. Drinks available from the pool bar as well as the main bar during the day.||Snack bar was OK and is situated next to the pool. Things like wraps, burgers, chicken fillets, chips and salad available. We did not bother with the main restaurant at lunch time although we did on an evening time. We found the quality of the food to be excellent with lots of choices available. They even had gravy available on two of the nights and it was lovely.||All of the bar and restaurant staff in the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. I cannot remember all of their names unfortunately but Karim who works on the main bar during the day was excellent. The animation team were also great but again I cannot remember all of their names other than Zach who always took time to speak with us.||The entertainment on a night time was pretty good with the main show starting at 930pm although there is a "quiz like" programme which starts at around 8pm / 830pm.||Overall, this is an excellent hotel so I am a bit puzzled by some of the negative reviews. I would 100% come to this hotel again in the future.”
“We recently stayed at Ryads Parc & Spa and came away with mixed feelings. The hotel has some real positives. The grounds are attractive, the pool area is lovely, especially in the evenings, and we regularly saw staff cleaning and maintaining the poolside areas throughout the day. Housekeeping were excellent during our stay and deserve recognition for the work they do. The activities team were also friendly and approachable. They weren’t over the top, but they made an effort to engage with guests and helped create a pleasant atmosphere around the resort. Unfortunately, there were also several disappointments. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but they are starting to look tired and could benefit from refurbishment. While they don’t appear dirty at first glance, there are signs of wear and tear throughout, and we noticed issues such as rust around windows, dirty skylights, stained flooring and areas that would benefit from a much deeper clean and general refresh. The biggest let-down was the food. The selection was very repetitive, with many of the same dishes appearing day after day. More importantly, much of the food was extremely dry and often felt overcooked. By the end of the holiday, meal times became something we had to get through rather than something we looked forward to. Service was also inconsistent. While some staff members were pleasant, many of the staff in the restaurant, snack bar and pool bar appeared unhappy and disengaged, with very few smiles or friendly interactions. We often felt as though guests were more of an inconvenience than a priority. Interestingly, those who could speak French seemed to receive a noticeably warmer response, and staff often appeared much more relaxed and willing to engage in conversation. While there were certainly some exceptions, overall the level of customer service fell short of what we were expecting. The all-inclusive drinks selection is fairly limited, although for the price paid it was acceptable and we weren’t expecting premium brands or an endless cocktail menu. Overall, Ryads Parc & Spa has plenty of potential and there are some hardworking staff members who deserve recognition. The grounds are attractive, the pool area is well maintained, and there are aspects of the resort that we genuinely enjoyed. However, improvements to the food, customer service and room maintenance would make a significant difference. At present, I would consider this a solid 3-star experience rather than the higher standard the hotel appears to aim for.
“We arrived at this hotel and it was too early to check in. This wasn't an issue as we were told we could use the facilities. We want to get a drink from the bar. All there was on offer was beer, vodka, gin or whisky. There was some cocktails but these were premixed and very sweet and undrinkable. We decided to have a look at the restaurants. |Snack bar had birds in eating food directly from the trays. The staff made no attempt to stop this. We went into the main restaurant and no food was labelled and didn't look at all appealing. So we just went to get a soft drink. This was flat and syrupy. It was at this point we decided we didn't want to stay here as we have only been here and hour and we're already unhappy and this is before we've seen our rooms. |The loveholiday rep (well how he described himself when trying to promote trips) was not interested and offered no help. |However the hotel manager was amazing and helped he even recommended a different hotel. |My only advise is this is not a 4 star hotel and there is a lot better hotels for a similar price. |The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is their manager id excellent and dealt with the situation extremely well.”
“When we arrived was lovely hotel, but definitely not 4 Star as advertised on love holiday but when we went to our room it had insects in the each room. I had to call the reception for a cot even that I had emailed them this way before arrival. It took two phone calls before it was sent to us. I requested some cold water as the one in our room was warm, being 40 degree we was tired from travelling and the male staff member was rude said we had to go to the bar to get it which was going to close in 5 min and he put the phone down, they was sending the cot anyway why they couldn't be bothered to bring that too. No Kettle to make tea and coffee in room. The fridge freezer wasn't on. The shower head broke off the wall so I had to call someone to come fix it. There no on site medical staff but a local pharmacy to contact. Not much to do, the hotel is in the middle of no where, you had to get a taxi if you wanted to go anywhere, never seen shuttle bus come and go from the hotel. Entrainment start off was the same every night, did like that they was dancing to a song with Allah in it on the African show, they kept moving the Entrainment to inside, was hard enough trying to get a seat outside. The food was a big let down, no labelled, no dietary requirements. Some vegetarian dishes were placed next to fish dishes. Uncooked food, salad wasn't fresh, could see it been cut up hours before and left. Same food every day with some different dishes but it all tasted the same, very bland. We ended up with bad stomach while there and back when we got home.”
“Stayed here for 3 nights and returned early this morning 18th. First impressions are very nice lobby we arrived at 10:30am but the rooms aren’t available until 14:30pm check in was quick and easy usual passport and brief for us and done, so we got our swim wear out changed in the toilet and straight out. The pool area is great, a mild salt water pool which is the only one but big enough with partitions from a big deep one and 2 shallower ones. Plenty of sunbeds and happy that not many were reserved through our trip there really isn’t any need. This did get worse through the day as people left in the hottest part of the day due to the glorious weather!!!!!! But still plenty left. |The entertainment team are great friendly and not pushy for you to participate but it does get quite loud while it’s going on around the pool. At 14:30 we were given room 906 on the ground floor. This was close to the pool and pool bar. The porter wasn’t on hand to show us to our room but that wasn’t an issue at all for us. The rooms are big and spacious, the furniture was dated and rough around the edges. The safe is free and bathroom very big again. The bathroom probably being the worst of the rooms due to the shower leaking onto the wall creating mould spots. The toilet does need updating probably the case with the whole block. Plenty of pressure and heat though in the shower. The balcony was unusable due to the amount of ants that seemed to find something nice out there, not many in the room though despite there being thousands out there. The rooms were made up daily and we requested a larger duvet due a single supplied for a double bed. I’m guessing this is due to them pushing the 2 singles together to make up our bed. The pool area can be quite grubby in the morning with litter left by guests. While the hotel will tidy up it’s our fellow guests to take pride and respect the space!!!!! The food was ok for me plenty of variety some repeated meals but I didn’t go hungry. My wife struggled at times but again we didn’t starve. The beer was bottled San Miguel and I would advise you take more water than is needed due to the small bottles supplied. We didn’t have any cocktails but there was a selection. The spirits again we only had vodka but that was very good. |The gardens and general area are well|with grounds people working all day. The placement of the sprinklers can make it an adventure sometimes to reach your destination tough. The bugs love your drinks and you won’t get away from them however skilful you are. They don’t sting the flying ones but are particularly annoying. (Nothing hotel can do about those) 😬. We didn’t do any trips but a pre booked taxi will cost you about £18 or 200 Durham I think it’s one way into Marrakesh. The on site shop can be hit and miss. Nothings priced and I asked 2 days in a row for the same thing and was given 2 different prices. We didn’t buy anything but a magnet from here. Aircon in the room was great and a godsend when relief from the heat was needed. Other parts of the hotel stay quite stuffy through the day. Entertainment was good there was only 1 bar open on an evening and it closes at 11pm they do get through people quick though. |I would return to this hotel as it’s away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. A cheap getaway not a long flight in comparison to flights I’ve done.
