“The way this situation was handled was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. After making clear arrangements in advance, the communication on arrival became inconsistent and the terms kept changing, which already created confusion. What made this experience truly unacceptable, however, was the way the situation was escalated by the owner. Instead of handling things calmly or professionally, the owner threatened to call the police without valid reason, even while I was in the process of leaving the riad. This was completely unnecessary, disproportionate, and created a very stressful and uncomfortable situation. At no point was there any attempt to resolve things in a respectful or reasonable way. As a result, I did not feel comfortable staying and decided to leave immediately without using the room. This experience fell far below any acceptable standard of hospitality. I would strongly advise others to reconsider before booking. Reading this only confirms my experience. Regardless of how this is being presented now, the situation escalated in a way that was completely unnecessary, especially the threat to involve the police while I was already in the process of leaving. That is what made this feel unsafe and highly uncomfortable. Anyone reading this exchange can draw their own conclusions. I stand by my experience.”

“The rooms are large and clean, the bed is very comfortable, & breakfast is lovely. The staff is accommodating and as helpful as possible. However, the bedroom is dark with lamps being the only source of light, and they’re insufficient. Unfortunately, when we asked for additional lamps, none were available. The exposure of the photos is edited to see the furnishings. The bathroom is very spacious. Riad Noir D'Ivoire is an authentic Moroccan accommodation.”

“The riad’s location is not good. When I arrived, they welcomed me with tea, but I had to ask for a spoon and sugar — I’ve never seen something like that before. I also didn’t feel safe during my stay. The riad was not clean, and the terrace was even worse. The room was okay, but the breakfast was boring and didn’t taste good. I do not recommend this place to anyone”

“I normally never leave reviews, but I felt compelled to write one because this was such a bizarre experience. The owner of this hotel was shockingly unprofessional in the way he treated guests, which made the entire stay very uncomfortable. The hotel itself is outdated and absolutely not worth the money. It does not offer the value you would expect for the price charged. What was most concerning, however, was the behavior of the owner. He was sitting drunk at the bar, playing loud music, bothering guests, and creating an unpleasant atmosphere. Several guests clearly seemed uncomfortable, and it was also noticeable that even the staff did not appear at ease around him. I would strongly and wholeheartedly recommend that anyone considering staying here look for another hotel instead.”

“Fantastic stay in the heart of Marrakech. Beautiful Riad with top notch design and amenities. The staff are so caring and attentive - we felt right at home in the first 5 minutes. We found out too late the food was top notch and they have a renowned chef in house. The owner is a huge music lover and has a fantastic sounds system in the bar and the main atrium. He was in the bar one evening and invited us to chat and listen to some music. Would definitely visit again.”
