“Overall a great stay at the Sofitel Hotel in Marrakech. The location is very convenient to all the sites and 15 minutes from the airport. We arrived at the hotel early around 12pm, our room wasn’t ready which is fine but they gave us a courtesy room to use in the meantime which was great, this was the same case when we checked out as our flight was at 9pm. Service is good but is lacking a little as it can take some time when you order things like ice or at the restaurants. Not all staff speak great English so make sure they fully understand what you need. The rooms themselves are clean, modern and maintained appropriately, cleaning takes place on a daily basis which is expected from a 5* resort. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Marrakech. Thanks to these 2 bell boys who were very helpful and efficient in taking our luggage and getting a taxi.”

“We recently stayed at the Sofitel Marrakech as a family with a baby, and overall had a pleasant stay, but there were a few frustrating aspects that stopped it from being a true five-star experience. Pros: The pool area is excellent. There are several large pools with plenty of sun loungers, but what really stood out were the oversized cushioned daybeds. They were incredibly comfortable and perfect for relaxing with a baby, as there was plenty of space for all of us. Breakfast was another highlight. The dining hall feels luxurious, and the buffet offers a huge variety of fresh, high-quality food. There was something for everyone, and it was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had. The hotel grounds are also beautiful and spacious. If you’re travelling with a young child, it’s ideal for taking long walks while your baby naps in the pushchair without ever having to leave the resort. Cons: One surprising downside was that none of the TVs in the hotel are smart TVs. There was no Netflix, YouTube or streaming capability—just Moroccan satellite channels. For a hotel of this standard, this felt quite outdated. We were hoping to watch the Morocco vs France match in the SO Lounge, but were shocked by the pricing. Entry was 300 MAD per person, including just one drink, and for the Morocco game against France they were charging 2,500 MAD per table. Those prices felt excessive. Given how many guests were staying at the hotel specifically during the tournament, it would have been a great gesture to screen the Morocco matches somewhere in the hotel exclusively for guests, rather than making them pay premium lounge prices. Another disappointment was the hotel’s policy on outside food. Guests aren’t allowed to bring in or order food from elsewhere. This was the first hotel we’ve experienced with such a rule. In 43°C heat, when you don’t necessarily want to leave the hotel for lunch, you’re effectively forced to eat at the hotel’s restaurants, which isn’t ideal. Finally, charging 100 MAD for a bottle of Sidi Ali water by the pool felt excessive—especially when the exact same glass bottles are provided complimentary in the room twice a day. That inconsistency left a bad impression. Overall, Sofitel Marrakech has beautiful facilities, fantastic pools, an excellent breakfast, and lovely grounds, making it particularly well suited for families. However, some guest policies and pricing decisions felt unnecessarily restrictive and overpriced, which took away from what could otherwise have been an outstanding stay.”

“J'ai passé un très bon séjour au Sofitel Marrakech Palais Impérial & Spa. L'hôtel est magnifique, impeccable et très bien entretenu. Le personnel était aimable, compétent et toujours prêt à aider, ce qui m'a permis de me sentir bien accueilli tout au long de mon séjour. La chambre était confortable et élégante, la nourriture excellente, et l'ambiance générale à la fois reposante et raffinée. L'emplacement est aussi idéal, avec un accès facile aux attractions de la ville. Je tiens aussi à remercier tout particulièrement Wissal Abid. Pendant notre événement en salle de réunion, elle a fait preuve d'un grand professionnalisme, d'une grande attention et d'un vrai soutien. Elle a fourni un service remarquable et a veillé à ce que tout se déroule parfaitement. Son dévouement et son professionnalisme ont vraiment fait la différence et ont largement contribué à notre expérience positive. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel et je serais ravi d'y revenir à l'avenir.”

“On a eu un massage en couple au Spa du Sofitel, c'était vraiment reposant. Merci à Khadija et Hiba pour leur accueil si chaleureux et leur gentillesse, elles ont rendu le moment encore plus agréable. Les installations sont belles et l'ambiance est très calme. On a aussi profité de la piscine intérieure avec un thé après le massage. Après une journée de marche dans Marrakech, c'était exactement ce qu'il nous fallait pour nous détendre. Je le recommande vraiment.”

En plus, Hisham s'est occupé de l'organisation de nos événements, et l'équipe du spa, avec la responsable de l'accueil du spa et Aasma et Ekram, a été vraiment formidable.”
