“The food is decent and the sushi is great, but the organization here is lacking. It feels chaotic, busy, and crowded, and the wait times can be long. To be fair, we came during a very busy time (spring break / Passover), so it may not always be like this. Portions are not huge, but that’s typical outside the US. Prices are on the higher side for Morocco, but this is a tourist area with limited kosher restaurant options, and they know it. What I loved about this location is that it’s right across the street from two other kosher restaurants (meat and pizza) so if you’re not satisfied here just pop over to another spot.”
“Wasabi is a very chic and cozy restaurant in the heart of Gueliz. Everything in there was well though out, from the lighting to the cutlery, which was very appealing. The service was very good, meticulous. The staff worked around the table lightly and the manager was able to recommend some meals and offer nice suggestions. We ordered many items on the menu, and we were all pleased by the quality of the food served. The mozzarella sticks were very tasty, not too dry nor too greasy, same with the chicken fingers. The sushi exceeded expectations : fresh, well done and the rice was perfectly cooked. It was astonishingly balanced. We also had the chicken skewers, you could tell the chicken wasn't industrial, the seasoning was perfect and the rice also very well cooked. As for the dessert, it was all homemade : mousse au chocolat or fondant au chocolat, both savory and gourmet. Overall it was an incredible experience, the price to quality ratio is excellent as everything was quite affordable and of high standards. The dinner itself really felt like a journey.
“Very nice restaurant. I only missed the stir fried dishes which were shown on the internet. Rest of the food is great.”
“Sushi was fresh and good but I was still hungry and decided to order a Chicken Burger. Service was slow. The patty was stone hard and almost broke my teeth biting into it. By then my appetite was gone and we told the waiter to just get us the Bill. He ran off with my plate and came back with sides cut off (the bun was still the same because my tomato I removed was missing and you can clearly see that the chicken was cut, picture included) and wanted me to eat it. We still asked for the bill and asked to please remove the espresso my girlfriend never received which they then wanted to make. After saying we will still pay for the burger the waiters and owner started fighting what was wrong with the burger till one waiter broke them off. We then received an espresso that was not on the bill, but the burger still was plus a 10% service charge. Good service would have been to be kinder in the situation and maybe offer to take off the burger which I would've repayed as an extra tip. Because of the discussing next to a customer and "remaking" my chicken burger (cutting off the edges) and paying a 10% surcharge for bad service an overal experience score from 1 star.”
“Kosher sushi and meaty restaurant. We had very delicious chicken spring rolls, and crispy chicken nuggets With dipping sauce to start. Main course burger and stir fry beef noodles. Very nice. Friendly service. Proper kashrut supervision with hechsher. Directly opposite Wasabi is the owners milky Italian Kosher Restaurant called Al Dente.”
“Extensive menu, everything we had was delicious - easily rivaling any food we have back in NYC - ended up returning to place orders for the rest of our trip. Had massive orders delivered to our hotel in record time, highly recommend to both kosher and non-kosher customers!”
