“I hate to modify my prior review. I recommended this property to a friend. The day prior to her stay the owner contacted her to say the property closed for renovation. Unfortunately he didn’t cancel her reservation. She has been charged and has been unable to get her money back and had to file claims with the bank. The owner has not returned her money and the refund request was denied though hotels.com. Because he never cancelled, she struggled to find a new hotel instead of getting refunded and seamlessly rebooked. I left two stars because I enjoyed my prior stay but I feel terrible for my friend whose trip was badly impacted and the stress caused by the mismanagement of the situation.”
