“Exceptional as always! We first stayed here three years ago, and it has since become our absolute first choice for our family in Midelt whenever they visit Meknes. Highly recommended! The staff here are incredibly welcoming and always make us feel right at home. The rooms are consistently clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We also love the location—it is wonderfully quiet yet perfectly situated. As a family, we are particularly allergic to mist, and this hotel’s excellent environment made it a perfect, worry-free choice for our specific concerns.”
“Newer hotel with nice modern room with high ceilings. Good bathroom with large shower. Hot water and pressure was good too. Toiletries and hair dryer provided. Wifi was good. Beautiful big pool but we did not use it. Easy free parking in hotel lot. The room had a refrigerator but I’m not sure why because the hotel has a policy of no outside food in the building! This was the one big negative.||The hotel has a restaurant. There are no others you can walk to. Excellent buffet breakfast with lots of choices in the morning. The hotel is located near the autoroute but away from Meknes centre. It’s on a busy street. Our room faced the pool so the noise was mitigated. It did not bother me but I could see it bothering others. You also can hear your neighbours tv through the wall.||I would have rated this hotel higher except for the food policy. It is good for a 1 or 2 night stay for those arriving by car.”
“As a four-star hotel, I expected the service to be more professional and attentive. The staff were polite, but they did not seem enthusiastic or willing to offer help or provide clear answers. The room was clean and tidy; however, there was a tear in the window curtains, which affected the overall impression.”
“The hotel is beautiful at first glance, with a charming exterior and inviting common areas. However, the room showed signs of wear and tear. There were a few fixtures that were out of date (meaning coming apart), including the entry closet and the towel shelf in the shower. Upon our late arrival, we went to the hotel restaurant, but it wasn’t Moroccan cuisine as we expected. The food seemed to be made to order, which is nice, but it did require a level of patience we weren't quite so used to. And, on top of that, unfortunately we weren’t particularly happy with the taste of the food we ordered. However, the complimentary bread and olives were delicious. Service was minimal, though to be fair, we did arrive approximately an hour before closing. Free parking was a definite plus, but the WiFi was unreliable enough that I had to rely on mobile data during the stay. Overall, the Le Z Hôtel Meknès had appealing elements, but also areas that need attention to match the property’s first impression.”
“A newer hotel with a nice large pool, easy parking, and a very good buffet breakfast. Our concern is that no outside snacks and drinks are allowed in your room. Never seen that in a hotel before. (See photo) You find this out for the first time on a sign in the lobby.”
“Commentaires en FR et UK : ⚠️ Avoid at all costs – a disastrous stay at Z Hotel, Meknès ⚠️ We stayed at Z Hotel in Meknès for a friend’s wedding, and what was supposed to be a joyful celebration quickly turned into a major disappointment. From the start, the quality of service was mediocre. To be fair, for a few nights and at that price, we might have tolerated it. The pictures online are highly misleading — yes, there’s a large pool and a seemingly nice setting, but in reality, everything is run-down, poorly maintained, and of very low quality. What truly ruined our stay, though, was a shocking case of dishonesty. We sat by the pool and ordered a drink and tea for six people. After waiting an hour and a half, and despite several reminders, only one drink ever arrived. Frustrated (especially since the hotel was nearly empty), I went to reception myself, only to be told by the staff that he “didn’t handle restaurant matters” and couldn’t do anything — quite unbelievable in a hotel! Later, the maître d’hôtel came to apologize and offered us the tea and some pastries “on the house,” saying “It’s my treat — welcome to Z Hotel.” A nice gesture, or so we thought… The next morning, upon checkout, we were handed a bill not only for the drink and tea we never received, but also two additional orders we never made, complete with forged signatures! The total wasn’t large — about ten euros — but it was a matter of principle. We refused to pay for what we didn’t consume and settled only our actual order. The situation escalated into a chaotic and unpleasant scene, with the maître d’hôtel even scolding his young staff in front of us, which was deeply uncomfortable. In the end, the experience left us bitter and disappointed. Z Hotel in Meknès is not worth your time, money, or trust. Avoid this place entirely if you expect honesty, professionalism, or even basic respect.”
