Le SPHINX HOTEL

“I have stayed at Le SPHINX HOTEL mid April 2025, and my stay was way better than what I had expected. The experience started at the reception where a gentleman offered us a warm welcome and made us feel like home (home away from home). Rooms are clean and spacious. (If you are staying there, check out the Edith Piaf Suite and read about the history of the place). Breakfast is simple and customised to an extent (e.g. they would ask you what you put in your omelette and make it for you the way you prepare it at home). The restaurant Chez Madame Andrée offers decent food at reasonable prices, and a nice selection of wine. Restaurant’s staff is professional and hard working. The location of the hotel is ideal: walkable distance from the train station and from the corniche. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the hotel and thank them for their professionalism.”

“I have read some of the older reviews here and think this place must have turned itself around quite a bit. Service was good, staff very friendly and attentive, no nightclub noise as it was closed. Any remarks we had were dealt with promptly. Absolutely enjoyed our 3 days and 2 nights here. Good breakfast in the morning (make sure you ask for the one that is included, if you order à la carte you pay extra), had a really nice, long dinner by the pool with a good bottle of wine, the garden is fantastic and the hotel is in a good location for going for a walk afterwards. We parked our car in one of the side streets and it was absolutely fine. Make sure you read up on the history of the hotel. There are many articles about it online.”

“Heard a lot about the hotel & restaurant, and was supposed to have decent to good lunch. Unfortunately we were not able to find out. We entered the hotel and asked if we could go for lunch, we were seated at a table and then they forgot us (we were the only table at the moment). |I mean, what?|We ended up leaving, and after reading some of the other reviews it is good that we left, it’s a place with some nice history and looks quite good, but the service is horrible”

“I stayed in this hotel for 5 days and I was amazed by everything, from the location to the room cleanliness to the staff friendliness and professionalism and of course the value for money.. ||The rooms are extremely clean and have a cozy feel to them, the bathrooms are spacious and modern, staff are friendly and amazing.. the location is great as it just few steps away from Mohamedia beach, market and cafes/ restaurants, the location is also very serene and tranquil..||I just want to thank the management for the quick and generous service recovery offered when I faced some challenge with my A/C. And it was fixed immediately!! ||Really amazing experience!”

“Rooms are correct. Very clean and all in perfect state. King size beds are ver hard. Individual beds are very small, so if you are tall ask for a big bed, if not your feet will not rest on the bed. Great service, very pleasant staff. Very nice food. Fish is great. Very good choice for this price range. Will come back.”

“I discover this place by internet and I didn't expect that it would be this great.||From my arrival, Said the porter is very helpful and help explains me about the history of the Hotel that its restaurant Madame Andree was once the favourite place of French personalities such as Edith Piaf and Jacque Brel who dedicated the song "Jef" to Madame Andree. He also helped me with the technical stuffs for the tv in my room. The room is nice with pictures of 60's stars and also at the passage and stairway, which make the atmosphere very stylish. The restaurant is very classy and the long "Jef" is wonderfully decorated. Alcohol is available here. The hotel's staffs are so polite and friendly, especially the receptionist Hamada who also showed me around the place. The outdoor pool is not heated. The spa is only available on Wednesday and Friday. In summary, I will return here for dinner again.”
