“We had a beautiful experience on our last day in Morocco at this café. My wife and I had used almost all of our dirhams before leaving, and when we tried to book a taxi we realized we didn’t have enough cash. The taxi driver asked for more than we had. The café manager Oumaima noticed our situation and kindly stepped in to help. She cancelled our booking and called another taxi from her phone, speaking in Arabic to make sure we were not overcharged as tourists. The driver finally agreed to take us for 65 dirhams, but we only had 60. Without hesitation, Oumaima gave the remaining 5 dirhams from her own pocket. She and her colleague Walid even waited with us until the taxi arrived to make sure we were safe. This small act of kindness meant so much to us and perfectly reflects the warmth and hospitality of Moroccan people. Thank you Oumaima and Walid for your kindness. We will never forget this moment.
