“Fabulous restaurant, delicious food, nice and quiet atmosphere, very relaxing. It is on Medina, but on alley,,it's a walk off, if you don't google, you will miss it,, it is not visible from the Medina walking street. We enjoyed beef (shank)) with plum, and chicken lemonata with homemade fresh fries.ç If you are around here, you must try Friday restaurant.”
“The food was excellent and quite unique, with flavors and dishes that really stood out. The atmosphere was also very pleasant and made the experience enjoyable. However, the prices felt disproportionately high compared to what was served. While the quality is good, the cost makes it hard to justify returning regularly.”
“A hidden gem! Really flavorful food and good portion size as well.. Highly recommend. 155 MAD per menu per person.”
“What a great find! It's located down one of the side alley's within the Medina. The entrance to the restaurant is really plain but once you enter the restaurant you get a real appreciation of the place. Everything about it was top notch... The place is a traditional dar decorated nicely. The food is delicious. The service is fast, good and friendly and the price is very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good traditional Moroccan cuisine.”
“Disappointing experience – Tourist trap in the Medina We had lunch here today and, unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the expectations. While the food was "okay," the business practices were very disappointing: • The "Water Trick": When we asked for a small bottle of water, we were told they "only have large ones." They charged 25 DH for it, which is more than four times the standard price (6 DH). It felt like forced consumption. • The Food: We ordered a traditional dish, but it was poorly balanced—way too much sugar and salt, which overpowered the actual flavors of the meal. • Service & Payments: The service was far from professional. Additionally, they refused card payments for locals, which is frustrating given the high "premium" prices they charge. Summary: This place clearly targets tourists and lacks the genuine hospitality you would expect in Morocco. There are much better, more honest spots nearby in the Rabat Medina. Save your money and go elsewhere.”
“I had a wonderful dining experience at Dar El Medina! The ambiance is truly beautiful, offering a refined and traditional atmosphere that makes for a perfect evening out. The food was flavorful and well-presented, paired with attentive and professional service. It is a fantastic spot if you are looking for authentic quality and a welcoming environment. Highly recommend! Highlight: The tajines were exceptional. Amenities: Very clean facilities and comfortable seating.”
