“We found this place by accident whilst looking for something to eat around Rabat. And I gotta say I'm very happy with the new discovery. Traditional high quality Moroccan food at incredible price. The staff was extra nice and I can't recommend the dish I had enough. It is this pastry "pie" filled with chicken and almonds and spices. It is delicious.”
“From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth, professionalism, and outstanding hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and bursting with authentic Moroccan flavors. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and incredibly satisfying. What truly made this experience unforgettable was the service. Our waiter was remarkably friendly, incredibly patient, and wonderfully attentive. As tourists unfamiliar with Moroccan cuisine, we had many questions, and he took the time to explain the menu in detail with kindness, enthusiasm, and genuine care. We never felt rushed or uncomfortable—only valued and well looked after. The atmosphere was inviting, elegant, and relaxing, making the entire meal even more enjoyable. Everything—from the food to the service to the overall ambiance—was simply outstanding. Kasr Al Assil delivers top-tier cuisine, flawless service, and true Moroccan hospitality. We left feeling happy, impressed, and grateful for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Casablanca—you should not miss this place!
“I don’t understand the raving reviews of this place. Had it not been for the two young waiters with such positive energy, I would have given this place just one star. The food was very ordinary and portions measly. Check out my photo of the royal beef tagine. Try finding the beef. No, it’s not hidden beneath. What you see is what you get. Two tiny pieces of maybe 50g in total. Another review warned of this but I chose to think he was just out of luck, but looks like it’s consistent. I might have thought nothing of it had it tasted good. But the nuts and fruits felt like they were just thrown onto the dish like garnish instead of cooked with the beef, making it less flavorful than what I’ve had elsewhere. If you must eat here, avoid ordering the royal beef tagine! The kebabs were also very forgettable. So was the jawhara dessert, though to be fair it was my first time having it. They take cash only.”
“Finally a nice clean and bright place where you can see what you are eating. Well decorated too. We loved the three salads especially. Not terribly much choice for vegetarians but we left full. We were suprised that they run out of harira not long after 7pm (and only started serving it at 6pm). The young waiter and waitress were lovely, maybe the owner should help too when it is busy, not just stand around. If we ever happen to be in Rabat, we would definitely come again and out of all places we have seen this one was most likely the best.”
“Great food and atmosphere. Definitely worth it to try authentic Morocco food. Service was also great.”
“We came to try the couscous (Fridays only) and had a great time. The food was delicious (and prices were very good), portions sizes are generous. The service was super friendly. The inside is beautifully decorated too. A great restaurant that we highly recommend.”
