“We absolutely loved this place. It was a bit of a walk from where we were staying—about 20 minutes—but I would happily make that walk any day. The service was wonderful; our server didn’t speak English, but she was incredibly kind and helpful. The food was fantastic. You must order the Zaalouk (eggplant salad)—it was out of this world. We tried several tagines; the chicken was a bit too plain, but the meat with prunes was excellent. We also enjoyed the veal foot and the pastilla. The pastilla was a unique experience: a sweet, crunchy pastry dusted with powdered sugar, filled with dry meat. The first bite was unusual, but after that we couldn’t stop eating it. Overall, an amazing place. I would happily come back again.”
“Found this place on Google with good reviews, not disappointed - I went twice over 2 days, both times the food was delicious. Be patient with the service, but I took it as a good sign that everything was freshly cooked - they bring bread and a few snacks to tide you over. Not sure if the team speak English, but they had no problem understanding what I wanted. Would definitely go back on a future trip. Close to tram stop.
“A beautifully maintained place in classic Moroccan style. Excellent cuisine and easily the best seafood pastilla I had during my trip to Morocco. Perfectly crispy, very generous in size and full of flavor. The skewers are good too, but after that pastilla they simply cannot compete. Friendly, relaxed service and a very pleasant overall experience. Great quality/price!”
“The couscous was amazing very tasty, reminds me of my mom’s couscous. The yoghurt tastes exactly like my late grandmother used to make from scratch. Very delicious very fresh. Service was amazing and vibes were really good.”
“that was an authentic morokkanishe Restaurant which has totally traditional food. We have spent about 4 days as a family in Rabat and I wish i have seen here before... Some dishes are not found in other restaurants in city center... I totally recommend the salads "Zaalouk, Tektouka and Salada Morocaine"”
“Yeah you'll have to ignore all the positive reviews about this restaurant. The host has no idea what restaurant etiquettes mean. A stray cat kept pestering me inside the restaurant while I was eating and she did nothing about it, to make matters worse she went inside and laughed it off pretty evidently. And then comes the worst part, I pay 200dh for a bill of 114dh but the change I was handed was soiled and torn. I ask her to give me notes which are usable and acceptable. Now she's annoyed and yells something in French while she clearly knows I don't speak the language. And here I thought Rabat is mild for tourists. Be cautious when you visit the place. The same stray cat had been lingering around in the kitchen as well, so I have questionable thoughts about how hygienic the place is. One mildly positive point is that the food wasn't bad.”
