Dar El Assafir

“We stayed at Dar El Assafir for a week with my fiancé and we absolutely loved it! The riad is a tranquil space very close to the main centre of Marrakech with great rooms, roof top for breakfast and a swimming pool. Special shout-out to Omar and Reda who have been absolute stars and have gone above and beyond to ensure that we enjoy our stay. They always welcomed us with a smile, gave us tips on what to do and booked us for a lovely hammam! It felt like a home away from home and I can't recommend it enough, lovely people and very nice place! We will be coming back! Thank you so much for everything!”

“We really enjoyed this riad! We stayed at a few as we traveled through Morocco and this was by far the best - the rooms are spacious (we even had a large closet to store our clothes in), the bathrooms are fairly updated (we learned this the hard way at other riads), and the space is very clean. Omar and Reda were both also excellent - they make you feel so welcome and were very helpful with any questions we had. The riad is also easy to get to (right off a main road) but somehow feels like a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. Finally, the breakfast served here was quite tasty! The bread was always warm, the eggs were perfect, and the coffee was strong.”

“Perfect place to stay. Our room was spacious, filled with the enchanting sounds of birds and completely quiet despite being in the middle of the medina. The hotel, an old house with traditional Islamic décor and a sense of mystique, would be a completely different place if it weren´t for Reda and Omar. They exemplify Moroccan hospitality at its best, caring and attentive without being overbearing. Both clearly take pride in welcoming guests, and truly made a lovely difference to our stay. Plus, we were able to walk almost everywhere from there.”

“A perfectly located riad, however quite run-down. Needs to be renovated. Shower in room spraying all over. Floor tiles dirty. However our Omar was friendly, helpful and did his utmost to give us a good experience. Tough job for him when establishment is in such condition.”

They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best stay, including booking taxis for you, and recommending local restaurants and spa treatments and will give you the directions to get there too. Omar and Reda deserve a special shoutout. The location of this riad is perfect, off of the main road and away from the souks but close enough to walk everywhere. The hotel itself is a complete safe haven and calming place in what can be the chaos of Marrakech at times Doors are locked and entry only permitted by ringing the bell and waiting for hotel staff to let you in; no public allowed.”
