Fredj Hotel & Spa, Tangier

“My travel agent booked this hotel for me told me that everything he booked was a four star above this wouldn’t even rate as a two star in my book. When we got here, they asked for another $10 in taxes apparently weren’t included when it was booked, we get to the room no water glasses , no potable water, even though we asked for it at the desk, and usually I would expect to find a coffee pot in a room of this caliber none to be found. There were no available plugs at the head of the bed either. ||The woodwork is actually paper covered particleboard and it’s peeling up from water damage. Haven’t had breakfast yetthat could be another story. All in all I don’t know any other hotels in this town, but I wouldn’t book it again for myself.”

“The front desk was rarely staffed. When it was, they were very friendly. The buffet breakfast was awful with few items to choose from and no staff to restock or clean. We switched rooms when we discovered the bathroom door wouldn't close. The second room had similar issues but not to the same degree. Staff knew about the door issue before assigning us the room, which was just annoying. The location wasn't bad, but the hotel is outdated and not well maintained. I would suggest finding a different hotel if you're considering staying here.”

“The hotel is very well located, just few steps from the Medina, and it has a lovely view of the port.The hotel is renovated and the room was ver spacious and comfortable with good amenities such as different tables to place the luggage, spacious closet and a little desk.The bathroom was a bit old, and some things were a bit broken, like the trash can and the shower handle. I found a stain in the bed sheets and in one of the towels. But over all it was pretty good.The food was really good and the breakfast had a lot of delicious options. The service and attention from the Hotel staff was great! Always with a smile, speaking various languages and very helpful I would definitely recommend the place and will come back for sure!”

“DO NOT STAY HERE …P L E A S E….. ONE STAR IS MORE THAN ENOUGH. If there are negative stars it will get -5…. Driving to the entrance it felt like this place is abandoned… checking was ok… the room was big with balcony and view and THIS IS THE ONLY POSITIVE THING I CAN SAY. Bed sheets with spots and holes.. pillows horrible, no towels even after cleaning the room. Plugs did not work, Asked for ice and they said, we don’t have…i can go on and on and on.”

“Don’t book this hotel. This hotel is misleading and does not meet even basic standards. • There is no hot water for showers. • No laundry service is available. • The room service staff are extremely loud early in the morning while cleaning other rooms, making it impossible to rest. • When the room is cleaned, towels are not replaced, no water bottles are provided, and shower gel is not replenished if the previous one has run out. • Bed linens and pillowcases are not changed, even when you request room cleaning; they usually remain the same. • There is no kettle, tea, or coffee provided in the room. • The staff do not speak English, which makes communication very difficult and frustrating. • Dealing with the staff is challenging, and requests are often misunderstood or ignored. • The internet connection is very poor and unreliable. • Breakfast is the worst: very poor quality with extremely limited options. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money and I strongly do not recommend staying here.”

“Unsure how this is a 4 star hotel. The floors were not clean. Should have read the reviews before booking it as they were pretty accurate when it comes to the lack of towels, toilet papers and uncleanliness. Would not recommend”
