“The gist is, the best thing going for this hotel is its people. Everyone on the staff was polite, helpful, and caring. If it weren't for them, I may have left early. The next best thing is the location, being close to the taxi stand and the petit sorcco. However, while the location is easy to find and close enough to everything, the fact that the hotel is on a busy thoroughfare in the medina means it can get noisy. The rooms facing the street are especially noisy due to the street noise. The calls to prayer from the mosque aren't problematic at all, as they are short in duration and infrequent. It's the people and the mopeds in the street that are annoying. Finally, the hardware in this hotel needs some improvement. The staff keeps the place squeaky clean. However the walls are paper thin and all the tile surfaces make noises within and noises from the outside reverbrate throughout the rooms. The plumbing gives off a really acrid smell that I can't quite describe. The plumbing works well. It just smells bad. Every time you turn on the faucet, take a shower, or flush the toilet the acrid smell is replenished. Keeping the windows open to vent it out works until people start congragating outside to smoke. The wifi is very unstable. Other than that, it's a functional place. And I suppose this is part of the "charm" of staying in the old city.”
“Best things about the hotel were the location, and the breakfast. Actually with location is being good, there are a long stairs coming from parking lot's direction. If you have heavy luggage I don't recommend climbing it. Or you can ask the hotel to help you. Besides that the room was very cramped. We couldn't even open our luggages and walk in the room. The bedroom door was frosted glass. All in all I wouldn't book it again.”
“I had a really good experience here! The location it was perfect, but you have to up some stairs! The view of the restaurant on the third floor is amazing! The staff were completely helpful and kind, always! The guy who works in the restaurant was very kind, he explained a lot of things about the local food! I really had a good time! For sure I’ll come back if I go to Tanger again!”
“Location is pretty good, lots of stairs to get there. Hotel is more of a hostal than a hotel. Pretty bare bones room, small beds. No elevator with 3 floors. Not sure how they have a 4.5 rating, more like a 3. Had reservation for 2 nights, left after one night. Restaurant on the 3rd floor has menu's only in french, no spanish or english. Breakfast was acceptable.”
“We came in a family trip with brothers uncles, kids... 18 people. First, we were both extraordinarily and warmly attended by very profesional and impecable people. Always a smile, always ready to help. It does not come from whatever company standard, they are really so. General speaking, the interior is really beautiful and cozy. Very worth it. Rooms are impecable, really clean. In our case we all commented how confortable were the beds. Some bathrooms were may be too small, but well built and clean. The only con is that there is no elevator, but we did not miss it. The restaurant, were also breakfast is served, up in the third floor is really nice in terms of food and attendance, with a peculiar view we all liked. The sea, the port, and part of the city with that mix between old and new, renewal reforms where you can feel what is a growing city. The foods offered for breakfast might be different for what a european might expect, but they were reaally good, with fresh products, unlike so many chain hotels where chemistry is a part of it. You eat real, therefore, tasty. In its price, it is unbeatable. We were happy not to have chosen a "standard" four or five stars hotel. It was better to be down on earth, with people that helps and smile not on obligation, but on own will.”
“We stumbled upon this place by chance, and it turned out to be a wonderful find. The restaurant has a calm, cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view that really enhances the experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very helpful. It’s definitely a place we’ll be coming back to again.”
