“It's just in the center of all the activity. Super well ubicated if you will walk around and visit all the museums and good stuff from the center. The only think is that is difficult to get out for the tours for example. It is a HOSTEL! There are prived rooms and you share the bathroom, like all Hostels.”
“Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who run this hotel. You only have to mention that something would make your life easier and they are escorting, booking, fixing or supplying whatever it is you need. They take time to talk to all their guests and frequently send pots of Moroccan mint tea up to your room. I have never experienced such personal service. ||||Yes, this is a budget hotel. Tangier was cold and it rained every day for the whole 4 weeks I was there. However, I didn't want to pay for heating so was happy to make do with the massive supply of blankets and consistent supply of hot water.||||What I did need was very good wifi - and it is there in every room at Hotel Maram - with a router on every floor. It is also very clean - and cleaning staff will do your laundry overnight for a small fee.||||The location is fabulous - in the heart of the medina but near enough the waterfront to make walking or jogging there easy. This means, of course, that it is noisy - prayer calls, merchants, tourists and cats all contribute. I love it but not the place for you if you want quiet. There are no clubs here though. At night (except for the morning prayer call), it is quiet. ||||Thank you for having me Mr Nourredin, Usama, Murad and Fatima. I will miss you.”
“The hotel's location was convenient, in the heart of the Medina. The staff was generally friendly and accommodating, which made check-in and check-out processes smooth. However, I found the rooms to be a bit outdated and in need of renovation. The amenities were basic, no lift available for top floor where I stayed which includes private showers. The power was also faulty and I had to use my wallet to keep it at at a position. However, with some updates to the rooms and improvements in the breakfast offerings, it has the potential to offer a more enjoyable experience for future guests.”
“It was a different experience for sure. Staff was very friendly kind and helpful. Rooms and the service is very basic, which was fine for us just being there for a day. Washroom in the room would have been better with a fan to cool down. The location is right in the heart of the square with bazaar, mosque and restaurants for convenience but with windows open for ventilation loud arguments of some couples, bikes and other activities felt very noisy.”
“The employees are very friendly! Good location to explore the Medina, however be warned the mosque it's just a block down the road and when they sing for the morning prayer it's incredible loud! And it goes on for like 20 min. Bring ear plugs or just be prepared to be awake at 530am. The hotel was clean and beds were decent.”
“This little hostel/hotel was a pleasant surprise of my visit to Tangier. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The rooms, while on the small side, were more than comfortable with comfortable beds, sink and shower in the room and a very clean shared toilet across the hall. My room looked down on Rue de la Marine (the Main Street) which provided a lot of time for people watching when my feet were tired. The hotel is in the heart of the old city with many shops and street stalls for browsing and lots of dining options close by. All in all, Hôtel Maram provided the perfect place for me to stay for the four days I was in Tangier. And, for the price, the best bargain of my trip. I highly recommend it to any travelers.”
