“This is a hotel more for frequent travellers than for tourists. If you value air con, hair dryers and soundproof windows, it's not the place for you, you'll be better off in one of them soulless corporate chain hotels. But if you're after charm, cosiness, that old Tangier feel, people-watching from the balcony, a superb terrace worth climbing five flights of stairs, and staff who will recognise you and hug you to welcome you back (shout-out to Mounisse, a3chiri), then look no further.”
“Cheap and cheerful! Great location, good for people watching as it overlooks Petit Socco where there's always something going on. Right in the heart of the ancient Medina, not far from the port, plenty of places to eat close by. However the room was a little basic and I'm glad we didn't visit in summer as the lack of air conditioning would have been a problem had it been hotter.”
“I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is extremely basic but...for the money you pay it is excellent. We found our room to be very clean, the bed comfortable with nice bedding. It is no thrills. The shower was nice and hot. We had a room that directly looked out over the Petit Soco which was great. It is noisy but so long as you know it's fine. Loads of places to eat and relax nearby, shopping galore. The location of the hotel is fabulous as not only is it in the medina it is a 5 minute stroll down to the beautiful sea front and beach. Camels and horses were fun to watch and looked very well cared for. Soft golden sand on a very clean beach.|The hotel has two wonderful employees on reception. One, ( sorry I forgot your name ) wears a very quirky hat and was lovely and gave us brilliant advice re the area and what to do and see. He spoke very good English. The other guy is called Mosin and he was an absolute star. He spoke perfect fluent English, Spanish and Arabic and is a real asset to the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for him and every time we saw him he gave us, and everybody else a massive smile. He has a great sense of humour!|For the money I would definitely return.”
“The location is super central. Our first room was a bit noisy, facing the street, but they changed the room to a quieter side with no hassle. The room was nice and clean. Only thing was the pain was coming off into the shower in the bathroom. Otherwise, great value for money.”
“The hotel is well located but the service is very modest, for example you have to exchange your towels yourself and ask for cleaning in the lobbyThe bathrooms don’t seem to have lights, you have to shower with light coming from the room or using a phone torch”
“Location wise very good, just in the main market, good view from roof top, while the room was clean, the room itself was a bit small with very basic amenities. However, a good value from money due to the location”
