La Muralla

“We had a magical evening at La Muralla. The restaurant is upscale but relaxed, with a nice rooftop terrace and exceptionally delicious food. We had duck confit and sea bass, both were excellent, and the chef modified the preparation to accommodate my allergies. The food hits the sweet spot between local tradition and more universally known dishes. Our dinner was long, relaxed, and felt luxurious. The tea was the best we’ve had in Morocco. The service is pleasant but not overbearing. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back”

“We booked the La Muralla New Years Eve set menu for our New Year's Eve celebrations. The restaurant is well situated in the Tangier Medina with excellent views overlooking the Medina and the Marina. There are several floors with dining rooms and bars and also several roof terraced. We enjoyed the 6 course NYE set menu with Champagne and Wine. There was also a DJ playing on the terrace as part of the NYE event. We had a great time and a fine dinner. The only negative was that there were no side bread plates and the bread rolls were also not in a basket but just laid on the table. The staff were very friendly and helpful however service was a little slow probably due to the large number of patrons and diners for this NYE special event. We met the owner Gio and his friends who were all very welcoming. We were also introduced to the Chef and his team who did a great job with the food. We had a great time welcoming in 2026 and we shall certainly revisit when we are next in Tangier.”

“Walk up the hill and don’t look back. We are here on a cruise stop and feel incredibly lucky we found this gem. While the view is spectacular, the food is exceptional! PS Get the pumpkin soup”

“We had a quick "aperitivo" up on the terrace. The staff was welcoming us very friendly even if it was "announced" that we were not "high ticket" customers. At the end, only 50+50 dirham for 2 tasty glasses of wine (red + rosè) including a plate of local olives and chips as free appetizer. Also, the view is amazing!”

“Excellent service, awesome views, and cool cocktails. We spent an afternoon here off of a cruise ship. It is kid friendly but quiet and quaint. I highly recommend it.”

The atmosphere, decor, and service was so bespoke. I added this restaurant to the list I keep of places to return to and recommend to others.”
