“Me and my husband booked this through booking.com. Was highly rated so we thought it would be a nice place to stay It really wasn't. The room was so bad there was rust everywhere. The towels were ripped and had holes. The breakfast was so basic. Some bread and olives and some pancakes. The manager named jamal was very nice and the staff that work there are very nice. However the place is extremely run down and such poor quality. It was my birthday and my husband asked the owner via text to arrange a cake. He charged 25 euros for a cake when clearly it was only a few euro at most. Even the fanciest patisserie did not charge this much. The owner has no problem ripping people off. During our stay alot of people were unhappy as they booked a particular room and when came the room had been given away. TERRIBLY RUN DOWN AND THE OWNER WILL HAPPILY RIP YOU OFF!!! DISGUSTING.”

“This is a safe space. I had the most welcoming and amazing stay at Riad de Reve. The owner, Abdulsalam, was an amazing host who made us feel at home and took care of everything I needed. He also offered the most authentic trips into the desert which I highly recommend. The trip was a unique experience that I will never forget. The riad itself was very clean, comfortable and charming. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The location was great, only 5 minutes away on foot from the center of Zagora. The wifi was fast and reliable. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you are looking for a place to stay in Zagora, look no further. You will not regret it. If you’re having a trip into the desert, make sure to book the trip 1 month in advance as it is very popular! It is the most authentic experience in the desert you will get, better than anything we previously had in Merzouga. Thank you Abdulsalam for everything! Hope to see you soon another time”

“A lovely Riad that gives a taste of authentic Moroccan life located at the door of the desert. Guests are made to feel at home and delicious traditional home-cooked meals can be prepared on request. Great value for money. The owner also organises unique, bespoke trips to the desert and surrounding region that are off the beaten track. Highly recommend.”

“We looked for a room for one night and ended up staying at his beautiful Riad for 3 days. Abdulsalam welcomed us so friendly even though we arrived late at night and spontaneous. We prepared a tajine together and had a private cooking class untill 2 am. We had the best evening with him and don't forget the tee we got served all the time. The next day we went with Abdul and two other nomads into the desert. The trip was awsom and we had the local experience we looked for. We are two women (26 and 27) and felt save all the time with him. The two days and the night in the desert were very special. We had a beautiful sunset, sleeping under the stars (comfortably bed), tajine cooked on the fire, self-made sandbread ( second cookingclass) and a lot of laugh and fun. All in one it was the perfekt experience and we will always remember this time. Our Nomade names are qarma and najma.”
