“The trees are amazing! The locals are a bit heavy. And there is no trail signage so good luck finding the best trails. I had monkeys all over my car, on my lap in my car, and they grabbed a bag of fruit out of my hands that I was going to share with them. And of course, like most of Morocco, the trash was ever-present and locals aren't interested in picking it up for money, they just want the money.”
“A very beautiful place for nature lovers. In Ifrane National Park, monkeys live freely in the wild, which makes the visit especially memorable. They are not dangerous, but they can sometimes behave aggressively when being fed and may fight with each other, which can feel a bit scary at first. However, our guide reassured us that it was safe to feed them. I really loved this peaceful corner of nature. About one hour is enough if you mainly come to see the monkeys, but if you want to truly enjoy the surroundings, it is worth planning more time and taking a walk through the beautiful cedar forest. We visited in February — it was not cold, although there was some snow in certain areas.”
“The Cedre Forest is nice, but the experience on the parking spot was quiet scarry. The man with peanuts was pushy, grabed 200 dh from my hand against my will and desapeared. The monkeys were aggresive, group of them attacted another family.”
“It is better to buy your own nuts or carrots before coming there, aš there are multiple local ppl who ask for 300-400 MAD because they "helped you" by giving food. So come with own, try not to overfeed the monkeys and see if you Want to support those people around monkeys. The monkeys can be found only on few places near parking spots only.”
“Feels a lot like a tourist trap. Yes, there are monkeys (but you can also see them on the windy mountain roads between Midelt and Azrou. The place is quite small. I wanted to support the community so went for horse riding. Unfortunately, the people are not honest - they don’t even complete the time you paid for, even wanted me to pay double (to pay for the guide’s horse. He came on foot when I didn’t). Overall quite disappointing. A very nice starting point for a quiet walk through the forest though. If you go up the mountain you’ll see some shepards and good panoramic views.”
“My 2 years old son, my wife and I had a great experience in this forest. Seeing monkeys for the first time, my son was excited. I would recommend this place to my friends and relatives. I'll go there again..”
