“Visited in January 2026. Morocco 🇲🇦, Chefchaouen. A small, intimate restaurant with just a few tables. The interior feels cozy, with large panoramic windows that allow you to watch the street life outside, adding to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. FOOD: The menu is a mix of Italian, Spanish, and Moroccan cuisine. We started with prawns sautéed in oil, which were excellent — fresh, tender, and clean in flavor, without any boiled aftertaste. They literally melted in the mouth. For mains, we ordered dorade and chicken pastilla. The pastilla was a first-time experience for me and turned out to be absolutely delicious. The balance of sweet and savory flavors, combined with crispy and soft textures, worked beautifully. The chicken was well cooked and nicely spiced, while the cinnamon and powdered sugar added an unusual yet very appealing dimension. The pastry enhanced the texture without overpowering the filling — a well-executed and memorable dish. The dorade, unfortunately, was disappointing. It was dry, lacking flavor and fat. This could have been due to improper thawing or simply the quality of the fish at that time of year, but we couldn’t finish the dish. SERVICE: Service was very good. As the restaurant is quite small, there aren’t many staff members, but the manager personally attended to us. He spoke good English, was pleasant to interact with, and kindly removed the fish from our bill without hesitation. VERDICT: Chefchaouen has very limited dining options, and the local food scene is not particularly developed. In that context, Gallitos stands out with solid food and good service. It’s likely one of the better choices in town, especially if you’re looking for European-style dishes. A reliable and recommended option.”

“Small cozy little restaurant in chefcouhan. Ordered soup, salad and pasta. Pasta was okay, nothing in it just sauce and little cheese. Soup and salad were good. Nice ambience.”

“Restaurant was modern and on a quiter street easy to find. The food was fabulous. I had steak skewers that were perfectly cooked on a bed of vegetable and french fries. My son had the pasta with chicken and mushroom which was delicious. We came for the food that was really really good. Service was fast but after serving us waiter disappeared and had to get up to fetch him for some requests. 2 meals for 300 + dams...great food quality which was the most important”
