“I met Fatima, she did massage, scrub and singing for my treatment. Very friendly person. The entrance fee is 15 MAD And the service of her is 50 MAD Recommended! She said this hammam only for ladies 🥰 Very nice experience, dont expect luxury one, it’s only 1 small bathroom that we shared the hot pool of water with many locals, inside the room for bathing max 4. No photos or camera allowed. Enjoy everyone!”
“Great experience in the Andalucian style hammam! It was open until 11:30 pm, and we arrived around 11pm but the person still accommodated us. He gave the full scrubbing seevice, and also gave us our towels and soap. We paid 50 for everything 👌 Amazing service! He speaks Spanish, and a bit of French :)”
“Wow! This was such a great experience for my first Hammam. Ladies’ hammam is open from 1200 to 2000 and men can go outside of those times. Bring an extra pair of underwear or shorts to use for the Hammam (I used bathing suit bottoms). I got the scrub, massage and mask. They provided the soap, scrubber, and sandals. The woman charged 100 dh and everything took 1 hour. Overall, she was very kind and gave an awesome massage!”
“I asked about massage and the price in advance. Through a translator they agreed that its 100 dirhams and I get a black soap scrub and a massage. I thought it was a bit cheap but i asked them about the massage and they agreed. When I arrived i was put in a room with not much steam. Local women were in different room which was a bit more like hammam. Floor and walls were very dirty. The woman who was supposed to provide the service was naked and I spoke no languages except Arabic so it was very difficult to communicate. She tossed a mat on a dirty floor and showed me with signs to sit on it. I was given a scrub but I had to apply the soap myself. Everyone just puts their hands in the same jar of soap (it was open and used before). I refused to take off my swimming suit because I did not feel comfortable being completely naked in front of strangers but she tried to take it off. She did splash water on my face without any warning (I grasped for air). She touched me with her naked body while applying soap and scraping me. I could not tell her how I felt because she refused to speak and ignored me when I spoke. She did not look happy doing her job either. I felt that she used me to relive all her negativity. The whole process reminded me of being forcefully washed by a prison guard. When she finished i still had soap in my hair and on my body. In the end I had to grab some water to remove soap that was left on my body. She motioned that I should leave. It was maximum 20 minutes, not one hour. No massage. My personal belongings were left exposed at receprion and I feared for my bag and money but money was intact. I was wet and no towel provided. I asked the lady at the reception and i was given some dirty used towel. I felt like crying but had to use because I could not put on my clothes being totally wet. No changing rooms. Horrific experience which I will associate Morocco with. I travelled through other countries and had hammam experiences before to know that this is not what hammam is meant to be. I was shocked but they conveniently just respond in their language no matter what you say to them. I saw other tourists having the same experience. I had lots of dirhams left to spend on my journey but I did not want to spend them anymore. I just decided to change them back to my currency and treat myself to something better back home. I will not be coming back as I felt treated like a sack of money rather than human.
“Expected us to pay 50 dirhams each for the entrance without massage or anything. When I asked the locals they told me it’s 20 for the entrance and 50 with scrub and massage. On top of that the lady was very rude. Would not recommend.”
“Very traditional and great hammam experience! 15 DH entrance fee included buckets and sandals to wear. Bring your own savon beldi/shampoo. The optional massage and scrub cost 50 DH. The hammam had a great atmosphere and was crowded at 11 p.m. My friends and I were the only foreigners and many men there were kind to welcome us and help us.”
