Villa Quieta

“A truly charming and peaceful place (Villa Quieta means “Quiet Villa” in Italian). It is a former private house, beautifully furnished both in the rooms and in the common areas, with a small wind-sheltered pool set within a lovely garden. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The service was outstanding: they even prepared a wonderful surprise for my birthday. A special mention goes to the manager, Mrs. Attica, whose discreet and attentive presence made us feel truly at home. The property is located in the part of the beach where horse and camel excursions are available and is about a 20-minute walk from the Medina (or a €1 taxi ride).”

“So pleased we found this place. We stayed 7 nights in June and it has been the most relaxing holiday. Really serene and chilled, the staff have been perfect - really friendly and happy to help. Breakfast is more than enough, with local jams and honey, french pastries, warm fresh bread, pancakes and fresh fruit brought to the table every morning. Others staying were also ordering eggs every which way and it was no trouble for the kitchen. It's a mixed bunch of guests from all over. During our week there were Americans, Brits, Belgians, Dutch, French, Spanish and more. The pool is a really nice temperature, and the area around it is sheltered from the wind and ideal for reading and relaxing. There are plenty of areas to sit in the beautiful garden if sitting by the pool isn't your thing. I would definitely recommend this place to friends, and if we come back to Essaouira it'll be the first place we check is available. A tip - the hotel put fresh towels out on the beds around the pool two or three times a day, so if the beds around the pool look reserved with a towel they're very probably not.”

“F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. This property is special. We enjoyed our 3 night stay, which gave us enough time to explore Essaouira and relax. There are many beautiful common areas to relax, read, etc., both inside and outside (pool and garden). The beach is close. The Medina area can be reached on foot, either on the beach (such a delight at low tide) or on the boardwalk in about 30 minutes. A very pleasant walk. If you stay for only 1 night, you'll be sorry -- trust me, book at least 2! Staff is friendly and everything is well maintained. Good restaurants nearby so you can dine outside the medina after spending the day exploring it. Highly recommended.”
