“I stayed 2 nights at this dar. I regretted not staying longer in Essaouira, and would certainly choose this accommodation again. Ismail, the manager, and Omar, the owner both made my stay a good one. The room was comfortable, clean and very close to the main street of the town. Breakfast was included and was great. When I had some problems with my next booking, everyone tried to help me. Good place to stay and excellent value for money.”

“Our stay was exceptional and we were so sad to leave the Riad after a sunny afternoon spent on the roof terrace. The photos don’t do this place justice. The service could not have been any better - all the staff were extremely hospitable and made a fantastic breakfast every morning. Everything from the yoghurt to the cakes, pancakes and egg tagine prepared in their lovely kitchen. The rooms were lovely and we were able to have our clothes washed after a week spent travelling around morocco. The location inside the Medina is ideal, just 5 minutes from the bus station on foot. We did horse riding and surfing and the tours collected us right outside the Medina which was very convenient. Finally, it was very close to what turned out of be our favourite little fish restaurant, le vague bleue, which was also convenient! Thank you Dar Awil, we hope to come back again! In the meantime, we will recommend this lovely spot to anyone we know travelling to beautiful Essaouira!”
