“Brilliant well-run hostel. Great nights sleep in comfortable room. Hot showers. Super breakfast.”
“After a not so nice experience at a riad in the old medina of Fez we found out about Youth Hostel Fes by chance. I saw it on Google Maps when we were in the new neighbourhood so we decided to check it out. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess and luckily there was still a 2p room available for us. We immediately checked in for 2 nights and canceled the riad we booked earlier through Airbnb in the old medina because it didn't feel safe for us. (A day before, we were mislead by two 'bad guides' who pretended to be the host of our booked Riad. They even got into the riad without a key).||||Anyway, Youth Hostel Fes is clean, has a very nice interior and atmosphere and it feels safe since no strangers are allowed on the property. This was very important to us. The main entrance is locked and can only be opened by the hosts (you have to ring the bell / knock the door).||||The room is very basic; two beds and a cupboard, nothing more. The hosts of Youth Hostel Fes are super friendly, fluent in English and gave us many tips. The bathroom was clean and the shower was awesome. The hostel seemed fully booked by other tourists from Germany, France, USA and other countries. Also the breakfast was very good. Not something we'd take for granted after having had very poor breakfast in the days before at other places in Morocco. To be honest, I didn't even expect to get breakfast for the price we paid (85DH p/p), so big thumbs up.||||All in all me and my girlfriend had a very nice stay here. It actually 'saved' our stay in Fes after the bad-first-day-experience I mentioned earlier. We highly recommend this hostel and would definitely book again!”
“Our one night stay at the oldest hostel in Morocco was highly delightful, beginning with the very pleasant hostel owner, going over the cozy rooms and ending with the exceeding delicious breakfast that brought us energy the whole day long. Such a nice place in the middle of the new town of Fès and just 1 km away from the train station, it really sweetened our visit of this beautiful city. PS: And the house kitten was so cute, miss her already!”
“They do not store your luggage!!! The place itself is nice enough for a couole of nights. Room is small but reasonably clean. What really disappointed me was that they told us we needed to check out at 10am (!?) and that it was not possible to store our backpacks for the day, like all hostels in the world do. This is such a basic service that hostels provide to travellers and I don't understand the reason of not allowing us to keep our bags in the place for the day. Our plan was to go to the Medina and return in the afternoon to collect our bags to catch a bus, but we had to change all plans for this reason. If you need the same thing, do not stay here!! Very disappointed!”
“The staff was absolutely kind🤩 I had a good memory and mister was completely thoughtful and brought advices to visit Fes! I recommend this accommodation to everyone who visits Fes”
“I have been there for 1 night. We arrived very late and didnt have a reservation. Anyway we got a cheap room, and the host was offering us mint-tea for free. Breakfast was also included and very good (Chocolate-Crossains, Juice, Tea/Coffee). The Host was very very friendly and recommended us a lot of useful things! ||There are many showers and toilets, which are also very clean (Euorpean standard). ||We felt super comfortable in this hostel. ||||The Location is also perfect. 10 Min to the CTM/Supratour-Busstation and train station. ||||Thanks a lot for the nice stay!”
