“The location on booking is wrong. On Google Maps you will find the correct location under the name “Fes Hostel Home”, but maps doesn’t know the small streets so it is impossible to find. You have to enter the Medina through the Shorfa Gate and follow one of the main streets leading downhill and deeper into the Medina (they are parallel). Look for signs leading to “Farah Riad” which is located in the same street as our hostel. The street is called “Derb Tiriana” and it connects the main streets. Now you will find the first signs leading to “Fes Hostel”. Turn into the street called “Derb Tiriana Sghira”. Follow it, pass “Riad Farah” and you will find it on the left side. Knock on the door or ask a neighbor to get inside. We had to pay a local because there was no help from the hosts. They didn’t respond to our messages on booking. The room was very cold at night because the wall had a hole. There were no bed sheets, only a blanket which smelled unwashed. On booking it said there is a private bathroom but we only got a shared one. Despite that the rooftop was nice and the hostel has a great location inside the Medina.”

“Good hostel. Directions: You can only enter from the south-western side, maps might indicate an entry from the north east but there is a dead end from that side. The hostel is also called “Fes Medina Vibes Hostel” on booking or “Fes Hostel Home”. Seemingly easiest way to get there is by entering from the blue gate go down Talaa Sghira and turn left onto an alley indicating Mom’s touch, it is not the road with the many paintings but the next one. Follow until past pastry shop the turn right. Pass by the Riad Farah, the road turns left in front of a food stall, then right and you will see the hostel to your left. Good for the price paid. If you are looking for great location, good shower pressure, rooms lockable from the inside, uncomplicated hosts and a great rooftop terrace you should stay here.”

“Just spent my 2nd night here of a 7 day booking. Very affordable for a private room with bathroom. About £75. No complaint here. First night was nice, 2nd night was horrible. My room is off the main reception area, and it had about 2 or 3 peoe talking loudly constantly till about 3am. Banging of doors and moving nf furniture. I had booked a further 7 days due to the cost before ng very cheap. However this morning I've cancelled that and am deciding whether to bin my further nights here and just be out of pocket. I'll give it one more night before lumpi g the cost/loss..”

“If you’re also lost trying to find it: enter through blue gate, walk on the man street until you see a sign on your left pointing to “mom’s touch” restaurant. Enter the alleyway, take the first right and continue straight (the road will wind a bit) until you see the hostel door in your left. There should be some signs “fez hostel” on the wall as but might be hard to notice if you only just arrived :) (And I don’t recommend staying there but you might be stuck with a non-refundable booking like me lol)”
