“I had such a comfy stay here The room was stunningly detailed and beautiful. The food is really healthy and delicious. We were very well taken care of by Mr Chakir who made sure we felt welcomed and showed us around the history and all the beautiful spots of the Palace. Strongly recommend if you come to Fes.”
“Fantastic 5-star experience. Large, well-appointed, very comfortable rooms. Great beds and pillows. Beautiful public spaces, fantastic breakfast, nice bar and food options with exceptional views. Staff all provided exceptional service, except for the gentleman that sits outside of the restaurant and bar entrance, who was indifferent at past over both nights of our stay. Location is not an easy walk to town if that is important to you, but its location at far side of town is very relaxing and a respite.”
“Okay a lot to say here. First let’s start off with the bad since there is much to unpack. We were given the “standard” room which was not indicative of a 5 star hotel. It was poorly laid out and had no outward facing windows. The bathroom was nice but everything else was lacking. We could hear other rooms easily through our bathroom “window”. If you get room 31 ask for a different one. The service we was more indicative of a 3 star hotel. Everyone was scattered and not the most professional. It seemed to be mismanaged in that workers were not experienced enough or cared enough to give 5 star service. The concierge was not as helpful as you would expected in taking helping to plan your trip. They also don’t use taxi and instead offer only “personal driver” (which seems more like a family friend) and charge triple the rate. We went to hotel Sahrai for 15$ and then hotel sahrai called us a taxi back for 5$. (I would 100% book that hotel over ours and it is basically the same price) Food: The main restaurant does have good food but it felt like no one was ever working and we had to seat ourselves as no one was there when we went in to eat dinner. It was odd and we had to walk around to flag down someone to serve us in the bar outside the restaurant. The free breakfast is not good quality compared to other comparable hotels, it’s maintained by one service worker and there are not that many options. Since it wasn’t the best quality there was a lot of food waste. The good: it is a pretty hotel when considering the lobby, common area, pool, and views. (gym is not good at all) Beautiful tiles, design amd well furnished. It is also in a good location close to the Medina and great views of the city. Overall though I would not recommend staying here at that price point Riad Fez higher price but worth it or Hotel Sahrai same price worse location but definitely worth it given how much better the hotel, food and service is”
“We recently stayed at Palais Faraj, and I don't have words to describe the wonderful stay we had. From the beauty and elegance of the palace, to the perfect service and attention of the staff. We are thankful for the kindness we received at every moment, as well as the advice regarding the visit of Fes. We shall certainly return.”
“Magnificent! A perfect combination of old and new with a distinctly Moroccan design and sensibility. The service was superb - Moroccan hospitality at its best. And the food was also excellent. I would return in a heartbeat.”
“Beautiful setting with gorgeous tiles and rugs, impressive looking from the outside, however very impractical and odd layout. We were put in a bedroom right between two public toilets, you can hear toilets flushing. We requested for a different room but it wasn’t granted till the following day. Room was very dark with small windows, it feels suffocating. Poor insulation, you can see the light coming through underneath the door and feel the draft coming in. Staff polite though. Considering the price tag it was a huge let down for me.”
