“Amazing amazing amazing!! Ambiance was perfect, food was excellent and flavourful, and the staff were brilliant. We ordered the lamb chops - which were grilled and seasoned perfectly and the lamb shank - which was so tender and flavourful. The ambiance was so relaxing and calm. The garden oasis inside the riad lobby was stunning on its own, and the views from the rooftop were a nice touch. The staff were incredibly nice. It was my birthday and they even prepared a special cake for me! So lovely and honest, genuine people. Thank you for an amazing experience 😊 Highly recommend!”
“We had a great time here. The place is gorgeous, staff is VERY friendly and nice. All of them! Really kind. The food was really good! Many options and also they had some specials of the day. The view is awesome. They offer many different settings, inside, outside, different views etc. Not the cheapest, but definetively worth it. You can find a sign with the restaurant name on the street - so no worries.
“Driving into Fez after 4 days in the Sahara I know I wanted some thing and some place unique and delicious. As the distance shortened I read an online blog/review by “Anita’s Feast” titled: “Eating Well in Fez, Morocco - A Medina Experience”. One of her four or five top pics was Bistro Laaroussa and while they all sounded fantastic I rolled the dice and made a reservation for the last call at 2045h. Upon my arrival I was immediately captivated by the natural beauty of this richly decorated and crafted Riad. Was greeted graciously by the Host whom opened the large, beautiful gate door, welcoming to their Bistro/Riad. After walking up to the 3rd floor I was greeted by the lovely and hardworking staff in the open air kitchen, just outside the dining room. After several days of rain, wind and cold temps I elected to sit next to warmth of the fireplace versus outside where the view and cityscape of Fez was magnificent - perhaps next time. Mustafa, my waiter, was beyond excellent and attentive. He did not rush me yet was there when I wanted something. Lamb-shanks, medium well with assorted vegetables was the call, firstly being served fresh, warm bread, EVVO and assorted olives. I also had a Casablanca. When my plate arrived in spite of the meat not being to temp requested I wasted no time raising any issues - the taste was delicious! However, when Mustafa stopped by to check upon me He in fact noticed the color of meat and IMMEDIATELY insisted that it be redone, retrieving my plate and whisking it off into the kitchen, returning in about 8 minutes with a brand new plate - MEDIUM-WELL to perfection! And the mushroom gravy - ugh, could have drank the entire serving bowl! My first hours and meal will always be a bar at high by Bistro and Mustafa and Team. Thank you so much for your hospitality and generosity. I will return soon and look forward to dining outside on the terrace with you. Thank you!”
“Elegant restaurant next to one of medina's main streets, with a nice rooftop terrace. The waiters pointed out the gluten-free options, and I had sea bass, and crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was great, and I didn't suffer any reaction at all. Recommended.”
“Wow what can I say. We arrived in Fes and we were looking for somewhere to eat. We came across Bistro Laaroussa and thought we would try it. We arrived with a reservation and they were kind enough to find a space for us. The rooftop restaurant is an absolute joy, beautifully decorated with a charming ambiance. The staff were professional yet very friendly and welcoming Zach our waiter was lovely and informative. The food was wonderfully prepared and very tasty. We enjoyed it so much we decided to go back the next day for our final nights meal in Morocco. Once again the welcome was friendly and professional. This time our waiter Mustapha was so charming telling about some fascinating details of Fes. The food again was fantastic. We would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Fes. Thank you all for two wonderful nights.”
“We had a wonderful experience here. The rooftop and decor of the riad are very well done. A true hidden gem. The quality of the food was good, and, although it lacked some authenticity of flavor, the service and the whole dining experience was excellent.”
