“Good place to go if you like getting scammed. I see fish tajine on the menu, I order it, he says the only fish tajine they have is swordfish tajine (even though I saw lots of other fresh fish inside). So anyway I said ok, fish tajine is 45 Dh. Then I asked about rice he said no rice only paella. I see paella is 50 dh. I say ok to paellla but a small one. He agrees. He brings out a huge plate of paella, it’s not a small one, but anyway I let it go. Then he brings the swordfish ‘tajine’ but it’s not even a tajine! I’ve eaten many many tajine in Morocco, this was not tajine. It was chunks of swordfish sautéed in an oily tomato sauce??? I receive the bill. The swordfish “tajine” was 90, 2x the price of the fish tajine on the menu! He pointed to swordfish filets on the menu (doesn’t say tajine) and says that’s what it is (???). The paella was a full portion and thus expensive as well. Food was average. Paid 160 for dinner, 2x what I expected to pay. Then the next day I walk by the restaurant, and I notice a couple eating rice. Just rice, not Paella. The server was nice but he was a scammer and I will never return.
