“In an unassuming and hidden at the center of life, the Hotel Wissam offers a hard to beat price and a location that puts you at the forefront of the action. It has a nice little social area and friendly staff who are there to help no matter the hour. While the rooms don't offer a five star approach, they are well insulated, have air conditioning that can double as a heater and offers a relatively quiet escape from the busy hustle of Marrakech's streets. For those with an eye for architecture, you will find the rooms particularly eye catching. On the right of the hotel entrance is a hidden gem known as Tanjia Secrets where you can enjoy tea to your hearts content and food that preps you for the day ahead, busy until late hours, it's best you get there early. This street has several tea shops that never stop. There is additionally, an ATM in this direction if you require it. This hotel is payment by cash only. To the left of the hotel and continue straight until you reach a cross road with the wooden roof overhead, turn left for the markets and go right for an adventure into the many hidden alley markets of Marrakech. These charming little alleys boast a host of delicious street foods and other things for sale.”

“Lovely place to stay if you’re on a budget. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Thank you for that. The courtyard is stunning. The location is superb, really close to the Jamaa el Fna square. The rooms are equipped with A/C heater and en-suite wc/shower. Our complaint however is that our room could be a lot cleaner. If this is a deal-breaker for you I’d look elsewhere. For us- all in all a really nice place and we really enjoyed our visit to Marrakech. Thanks again”

“Room was basic but had everything we needed. Beds were very firm but we are okay with that. Very very excellent location just a minute to the main square and a maze of shops and bazaars in all directions. Thanks again to Khalid who was a superb host and helped to answer all our questions.”

“The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location. Although the price is low, spending more will get you a better place. There were many things I didn’t like about my stay. Firstly, the room was filthy and appeared not to have been cleaned for a long time. The bed sheets were dirty and hadn’t been changed. The bathroom was covered in grime on the walls and around the toilet. The bed was extremely hard, making it uncomfortable to sleep. Additionally, both the air conditioning and the TV were broken and not working. One of the walls was leaking water from somewhere, and I even had to kill a cockroach in the room. The quality of sleep was poor due to the noise from the courtyard every night. People were constantly talking until 1 a.m. The walls in the room were thin, making it easy to hear everything. I recommend spending a little more time finding a clean hotel where you can sleep comfortably!”

The real highlight, however, was the exceptional service from the reception staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, offering helpful recommendations and always greeting me with a warm smile. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a great ambiance that perfectly captures the charm of Marrakech.”
