Riad La calèche & SPA , Marrakesh

“We had a great stay for a several nights at this Riad. It is a bit of a maze to find it (like everything else in the city!), so certainly have it up on Google maps - though note it's location is not currently 100% correct, it is in fact on the other side of the "street" and a couple of doors back, and the sign is very subtle. One highlight for us was the food - the included breakfasts were great for quality and quantity, served with Moroccan tea (or coffee) and fresh orange juice on the Riad's rooftop. One night we had dinner at the Riad and got the best two tagines (of many) we had while in Marrakech. The riad also had a nice vibe - relaxed and quiet, despite it's central location, and friendly and helpful staff. Our room was lovely, in traditional style, quite reminiscent of what we saw in when visiting the grand sights of the city. I would certainly stay again if returning to Marrakech!”

“We spent 4 nights in this road and the overall experience was great! The staff is very friendly, funny, always up for a chat and they gave us some great advices to make sure our experience in Marrakech is even better! The only hind side is that the beds could be a bit more comfortable and I wouldn't call 2 single beds covered by one mattress a "double bed".”

“What a brilliant time we had here! The riad itself, is very clean. The rooms are traditional, clean, fresh and with very comfortable beds. Upstairs on the terrace, we were served such lovely breakfasts of freshly made breads and pastries, always eggs and fruit with wonderful honey. When we arrived, we were so welcomed! Oussama was amazing! So friendly, professional and helpful. As was the manager, Abde. Always available to answer our questions. They really made my birthday the best I've had! Great hosts! And the lady who made our breakfasts, so sweet too, helping us with Moroccan words! The riad is very tranquil.and quiet, yet only a short stroll to the hustle and bustle! And close to the square. We will definitely be back, and certainly recommend to anyone who will listen to me telling them what a lovely time we had there! Thank you.!!”

“We stayed 1 night here and were greeted with tea. The rooms are clean and bathrooms have great running water. Only downside perhaps is that the food wasn’t great, you can definitely get better food elsewhere but overall would recommend.”

“Very nice place to stay cental in Marrakesh. The staff was very friendly and supportive. The rooms are clean and very individual decorated. You will not regret it, staying at this riad.”

“Out of the two Riads we rented, this one was quite run down, broken tiles and dirty, and the service wasn't more than average. It was more expensive than our other Riad which was nicer, cleaner and had much better service from the staff. No welcome drink was offered when we first arrived. Breakfast was good. Warning: you find out AFTER you book with booking.com that they don't take credit cards. This is frustrating because the bank machine let us take out maximum 2000 MAD per day, and the bank charges a markup of 13.95% plus our own bank was charging us fees. So it was costing us a lot more to stay there that we had budgeted. Luckily the manager refunded us a portion of our fee to compensate for this. Location was good.”
