“We stumbled across this place looking for a place that would serve wine, beer and cocktails. A lovely little find, down the back passages of Marrakesh (follow the signs from the main thoroughfare), and we enjoyed tagine, cocktails, wine and nibbles. A lot of the other reviews talk about the great service, and I’d agree with this; the team are lovely. This is a wonderful little rooftop spot, sheltered from the wind, and feels far more authentically Moroccan than the influencer-filled spots we’ve been to; go here above the others for that authentic feeling please! I was surprised they weren’t busier on a weekend night (but maybe you reading this will help with that!). Price wise it was significantly less than the other restaurants we’d visited, but not cheap; you pay for the good food…and the house white wine by the glass was great.”
Great restaurant with nicely presented food and great selection of drinks. Wonderfully tucked away in the alleyways. Absolutely well worth a visit.
“Found Dar Justo by online recommendations and highly recommend finding this out of the way delight!! While tucked away in the Medina, it offers a quieter, delectable experience, complete with fine service and friendly people! The prices are VERY reasonable, and food was off the charts delicious! We enjoyed the appetizer of meat, veggie and cheese brougetes, a fantastic bottle of vin Gris, and Moroccan rack of lamb!! We will return to this tremendous venue! 🇲🇦💪😎🙏🏻”
“Nice restaurant tucked away in the streets of the city center. I definitely recommend booking a table for dinner. We had tajine, tangia and lamb chops and desserts and it was all great, service was nice and fast, we recommend!”
“A perfect place to stay in while you're enjoying your time in Marrakech(believe me, you'll get a royal treatment in this tiny paradise). The food quality is incredibly high with reasonable price. Staff are really helpful. This spot is worth any penny you spend.”
“Dar Justo is a peaceful oasis near the souk area of Marrakech. Having come from another hotel, Kenzi Palace, which was spacious and beautiful we were uncertain what to expect in the busy city. The accommodation offers quiet clean relaxing areas and is very tastefully decorated with a mix of colour and calm tones such as cream sofas and white walls with splashes of vibrancy. The whole Riad has a natural feel and relaxing ambience with falling vines and tall green plants in Terracota pots. The flowers, greenery and design makes it perfect. The staff are so respectful and helpful and the food is delicious. Mohammed was very helpful each morning at breakfast giving good guidance and recommendations . Yes it is more pricey than some other restaurants but worth it. Thank you to the team at Dar Justo. We needed such a place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the Medina!”
“What a surprise! It’s a restaurant in a hammam but also open for regular visitors. At the beginning of the street there was a ‘guide’ to help you guide to the restaurant due to the maze that the medina is. Without the guide it is also good to find due to all the signs that they hung up. Once inside the relaxing (without even going to the hammam) can begin. The roof terrace (the big one, because it has two) is so romantic and very cosy. The staff is welcoming and knows how to serve. We wanted a bottle of wine and the waiter recommended on the wine and let us even taste 3 differents wines to decide which one we preferred. For the main course we decided we wanted to have the more traditional food and choose a tajine with chicken and couscous with beef. The chicken was well cooked and the beef was so tender. I still can’t get my head around. We were pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the food (compared with the prices). It was even that good that we decided to go the next day as well. And man! What was I happy we did. This time we decided to go for the same wine as the day before and fish. We choose the salmon and dorade. They were both well cooked and still a bit ‘juicy’. The rice that comes with it was also very good. Never tasted that ‘buttery’ but so fresh rice. Vegetables were served on a different plate and were also good paired with the fish. Overall it felt like I was eating at a Michelin restaurant but without the prices that comes with it. I would definitely recommend going and am already jealous if you do. Because you are in for a treat.”
“This restaurant had a lovely terrace with beautiful decor. Chairs were a little uncomfortable and tables low to the ground which made eating a bit hard! We had a nice meal of chicken tajine and vegetable couscous, and a lemon tart. The lack of other customers affected the atmosphere but otherwise nice.”
