“This restaurant was absolutely beautiful, with an elegant atmosphere that made a great first impression. It was recommended by our tour guide, so we decided to give it a try. We arrived around 7:45 PM on a Wednesday and were surprised to find we were the only guests in the restaurant for the entire evening. If you’re looking for a more energetic atmosphere, I would suggest arriving closer to 9:00 PM, though I’m not sure if the quietness was due to it being a Wednesday or simply because we arrived early. The musicians began playing shortly after we were seated, which added a nice touch to the evening. The meal started with several small salad plates that were flavorful and enjoyable. The main courses were excellent and definitely the highlight of the meal. Dessert included a variety of pastries along with what appeared to be traditional sweets. While they weren’t really our preference, they seem to be typical local desserts. Toward the end of the meal, a belly dancer came out and invited each of us to dance with her, which made for a fun and memorable experience. The mint tea was absolutely delicious and one of the best parts of the evening. Overall, the food was good and the entertainment made for a unique dining experience.”
“Warning: This place is a tourist trap! While walking through Marrakech, we were approached by an overweight taxi driver with a distinctive mark on his face who repeatedly begged us to visit this restaurant. He kept insisting that the food was exceptional, authentic, and very cheap. He even swore by God’s name to convince us that we would not regret it. Unfortunately, we trusted him, and that turned out to be a mistake. When we arrived, the restaurant was almost completely empty, which should have been our first warning sign. Despite the lack of customers, the staff were extremely eager to get us seated and ordering as quickly as possible. We ordered only two tagines and two drinks. There was nothing extraordinary about the meal, and certainly nothing that justified the final bill. To our shock, we ended up paying nearly €100. For what we received, the price was absolutely outrageous and completely disconnected from what we had been promised beforehand. During our meal, a belly dancer suddenly appeared, followed by live musicians performing for us. Since the restaurant was nearly empty, it felt as though these performances were being used to create the impression of a premium experience and justify the inflated prices. We never asked for any of this and found the whole situation very uncomfortable. The entire experience left us with the strong impression that tourists are deliberately targeted and steered to this restaurant through arrangements with taxi drivers. We felt misled from the moment we arrived until the moment we received the bill. The positive reviews also do not match our experience at all. Based on what we witnessed and what we can document, we believe many of the glowing reviews are not genuine. There are many honest and fairly priced restaurants in Marrakech. Do yourself a favor and avoid this one. A complete rip-off. Not recommended”
“We had an amazing experience at Marrakesh Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and attentive service that made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious - authentic flavors, beautifully presented dishes, and generous portions. Every bite was full of rich spices and freshness, just like you’d hope for in a traditional Moroccan meal. What made the afternoon even more special was the live music. It created such a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere without being overwhelming; just the right touch to enhance the dining experience. You could tell the musician was passionate, and it really brought the whole place to life. If you’re looking for incredible food, excellent service, and a lively yet cozy vibe, Marrakesh is a must-visit!”
“Save your time and money. Food extremely expensive and poor quality. We were told because it’s Ramadan, food may taste different. I beg your pardon?? And with our meal came seasonal fruit. We were given a plate of fruit with bruised fruit facing downward on the plate. Wish there was a negative rating. Tourist beware.”
“It was average food but EXTREMELY overpriced. Not too good with children.the entertainment was good ( 3-30 second dances at your table).waiter was polite but at the end he demanded for a huge tip (for service). At the end the workers said 'thank you And bye ' in a really bored voice and didn't smile.I don't recommend at all.”
“Tourist trap. Taken by taxi. Terrible bland food. Like actually bland, meat had nothing on it and was undercooked. Bunch of people getting scammed in there. Over 300dh per person.”
“Fabulous moroccan interior. Soup served to our tour group on the day was watery and horrible, mint tea equally bad. chicken tazine and fesh fruit was lovely.”
“Nice and beautiful decorated restaurant, food isn’t excellent but quite expensive. There is a local artist playing traditional music”
