“Found this wonderful little restaurant from the good reviews it's already received. Would 100% agree that this place is not to be missed if you are looking for authentic Moroccan cooking! The host Abdullah was so welcoming and super chilled out. He talked us through the difference between tagine and tangia - go find out for yourself if you don't know! The terrace is lovely and has a rustic feel to it. Please go here if you want tasty food for a good price!”
“Wow!! talk about leave the best to last! Last day of holiday and we find the Sahara Marocain. The food is on another level, delicious and full of flavour, the portions are generous, the service is friendly and personal, wish we had found earlier!! For starters we had selection of tapas. Followed by fish cous cous and beef tangia. And Marocain cake with tea for dessert. Can't recommend highly enough!!

“My friend and I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. It’s a very personal, non-touristy place – it feels as though you’re a guest of the owner. The panoramic terrace is cosy and relaxing, and the food is excellent and prepared with care. The owner is very kind and helpful without ever being intrusive, and the prices are fair. I’d highly recommend it and would happily go back. Thank you!”
“The food was good, the owner was very nice. When we ordered three main courses, he said we definitely wouldn't eat that much. When the portion arrived, I thought it would be one portion, and I'd get the rest later. It turned out it was three. It would have been okay, but the price was half the price for the portion size. You can easily eat lamb for 70-80 PLN in the area. The atmosphere on the roof is a plus, though.”
“Food was delicious—no need for any extra seasoning! The lamb, chicken and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The chef was friendly and helpful, and it was really nice to hear a little about your work experience abroad. Thanks! Great location too!”
“Our family of seven (and local tour guide) had a magical dinner at Sahara Marocain last night. Upon arrival, we chose to sit on the rooftop terrace, which we would highly recommend. We were able to watch the sunset and experience the evening prayer calls. Shortly after being seated, Chef Abdullah came up to greet us and offered to prepare his favorite dishes for us, checking to ensure he was aware of any dietary restrictions. He started us off with quartered avocados topped with fried sardines and cherry tomatoes. He then brought out six mains (2x lemon, olive, and chicken tagine, 2x lamb tangia, and 2x kefta tagine) and two sides (1 large vegetable platter and 1 large side of roasted potato wedges) for us to eat family style. In addition, he brought out a separate vegetarian entree for the vegetarian in the group. After coming up to tell us a bit more about his story and the city, he brought us complimentary mint tea and honey cookies. The food was one of (if not) the best from our ten days in morocco and the ambiance and care from Chef Abdullah is unmatched. We could not recommend a meal at Sahara Marocain more highly!”
“What a wonderful experience! Abdullah is an exceptional host and makes you feel right at home the moment you arrive. The food was tasty and very homely, it really felt like you’re at someone’s house and being cared for like a dear friend. I loved the Moroccan salad (super fresh, simple and tasty). The sunset view from the terrace was truly special but no photo I would take captured it fully. We also had a nice chat with Abdullah at the end about the lovely music he was playing so it was all very wholesome. 100% recommend”
“Highly recommend to go here when in Marrakesh! We found this hidden gem during our trip and enjoyed dinner here on New Years Eve on their wonderful rooftop terrace. Chef Abdullah made us feel extremely welcome and was the sweetest man. The food was amazing. 10/10!”
